I've got a 99 Zippo I'm going to turn into a 87-88 Master "Tribute".
I'm sort of doing this for nostalgia's sake and I'm not planning on putting a ton of money into this so I'll be painting it myself. I'd like to get original Haro colors as close to possible and I'm either going to go for the black/blue model, or the turquoise/mint. I used to have a T/M Master back in 87 and I miss it a lot.
I've got a friend who owns a body shop and can paint match, and I've been told that the front end of the T/M Haro's matches Pantone 321. Is there any "off the shelf" spray or automotive colors that match any of the colors? Anyone have any Pantone color references for other Haro colors?
I'm not looking to get in the paint business, so if anyone who would like to help me out has the info but doesn't want it to be "public domain", you could contact me privately.

Do you plan on using an 87-88 Haro decal set? I would get the decals first, then use them as a guide to match the color.
Is your body shop friend painting it for you? Automotive paint would be an easier way to match the color and is much more durable than aerosol.

It all depends if he has the time, as far as him doing the painting.
I'm just gathering info to weigh my options right now. The more info the better.
I probably will get a 87-88 decal set, but as someone wanting to just put a little bit into a "fun" project, $50 is a lot to pay for stickers...LOL.
