Hey everyone! This is for everyone in the Tampa Bay Area.....

I am working to setup a GT BMX Co-Factory Team with Steve Spencer and J&R Bicycles. This is the FIRST initial step to applying and I need to gather up a group of riders who would be interested.
Myself and a friend of mine are already going to be apart of it and I would like to get a solid group together. You do not need to be the fastest in your class or a pro to be apart of it. Just looking for racers who are active and love the GT Brand. Hell, I am just now getting back to racing after 6 years!

Please Message me so I can get your contact information!

Information from the website:

Congrats!
You’ve taken the first step to find out how
you can be called part of the Co-Factory Team.
Step One – Find your local GT dealer. If you don’t know one, you can find one on this site by entering your zip code here

Step Two – Go to the dealer and talk to them about starting a team. Tell them about the Co-Factory program that you, your friends or your parents would help to start a team. GT dealers can also contact their local sales rep for more information. Click here to find information to give to your local dealer.

Step Three – Once the dealer agrees to start a GT Co-Factory Team, team members will receive discounts on GT bikes, jerseys, frames apparel and bike items through GT’s sponsor relationships.

Step Four – Go race and have a ton of fun! Don’t forget to tell everyone about GT and your local shop. The more people you can send back to your shop to buy GT bikes, the more the dealer will support you.

I'm in NC and already have a GT. or are you looking for fla riders only?
Kalevich
I was just looking for FLA riders as the Co-Factory teams are setup per district. This idea unfortunately has more or less fallen flat though. You have to run the team through a GT distributor and I was working to go through JR, as they are local to me. Once I notified JR and GT that I had the initial minimum rider requirement to get this started, I never heard a thing again. Both companies are super busy I'm sure and the co-factory is not like a traveling, super organized team....More like a fan club w/benefits. I have lost interest in it as it appears interest was lost from the parties who would essentially control it. Sorry.
Grumpy
Matt,

Look for Grumpy in Oldsmar 51-55 cruiser and say HEY. I'll be on the 09 GT cruiser.

Me and my two kids are on the GT grass roots program here in Cape Coral FL. If you can't get anything going your way maybe we can work togther to build some sort of small team.

I think Steve Spencer may be wearing more than one hat at GT. He seems to be really busy lately.

That would be awesome! It seems once I contacted J&R and GT to let them know I was interested (Even had people interested and ready to purchase a GT to join)...They both seemed stoked and then it just fizzled out. I know J&R has a TON going on and has their Team this year (GT as well), so maybe I just picked a dealer that is too busy for this. For people that love the brand and appreciate some simple discounts on gear, I think think the Co-Factory sounded awesome. It all started off with me just trying to find/purchase a GT jersey (What seems like a simple task, but is FAR from it haha). I ended up purchasing a GT Jersey from NEW ZEALAND! from www.239bike.com ,just in case people are interested. Call me crazy, but I like sporting the jersey of my bike and did so 6 years ago when I raced. It only seemed fitting to return to my roots getting back into racing now. What some would call the simplest form of marketing, GT holds precious with their jerseys apparently. PM me and let me know if this could work!
Thanks again,
-Matt
