Looks to be a good survivor. Trying to work a deal.

Tell me some info about this bike.
Thanks,
Paul

Don't know a whole lot about the Vertigo's. Looks to be an 88 from the decals. That would of been the first year for the Vertigo. They where entry level, below the Performer. Trimoly frame and forks.

I agree. That has to be an 88. I believe the correct wheels for that bike would be the GT "tomahawk" mags though. Maybe it's an early one and came with leftover 87 wheels though.

Don't quote me, but I think back then, you were able to pick either mags or 48's from GT stock. And yes, that is a 1988 model. Also back then, bike (at least mine did), let you switch out wheels too, before the purchase.

The front wheel is on backwards, I see this all the freakin' time! AHHRRGGHH! Why don't people pay attention to the incredibly important detail of making offset mags point in the SAME DIRECTION?
Sorry 83gt4fun, I'm not bashing you, just having an OCD moment.
But please correct that situation.

Jive- I noticed that too. I will definitely rectify if/when I can get my hands on it.

stock vertigos had rims, performers had mags. the models above those two offered the option.
it was common for the shop to switch out wheels, though.
