This bike belongs to my friends father. I'm kind of interested in picking it up to have a second bike and it's pretty damn cool. Your thoughts? Any idea what would be a fair price?
Thanks!
btw, doing my first race tonight in 15 years on my 24" quad!

haha, I'm an idiot for asking a bunch of BMX nuts if it's cool and if I should buy it, lol. You guys are a bunch of enablers!!!! Any idea what would be a fair price? Wish it had some old flight cranks on it.

yes, yes, yes... I know I should pick it up...
someone, please point me in the direction of a fair price. I want to get a good deal but I don't want to screw my buddy. Is it worth more than five bills? I'm talking about the ones with Ben Franklin on it, not George Washington.

Easily worth 5 bills. Just the frame and fork could get that. Do him a favor and make sure he gets new carpet and tile with the $

That bike kicks but. I picked up one almost exactly like it last year.
I have seen completes like that go for between 8 and 9 bills on ebay over the years. I think 6 is fair on both sides but that's just me.

You better check the seat clamp area real good. That post is mighty high and can definitly cause some damage.

As is the brown faux wood paneling.

5-6 hundy would be fair on both sides, imo.
As was mentioned, lower that post or you could do what I did at the 83' Gold Cups Finals in Vegas, snap that sucker & almost impale yourself of the fiberglass shaft that gets left sticking out of the frame.

sweet looking bike, check it out close up at seat tube area, bottom bracket lug welds on the loop. It's worth considerably more not broken. I believe the guys are a bit low. If it is a friend and you don't want to give to little, give him 800

That is a real nice survivor. It is worth some big bucks if it has no cracks, dents, rewelds, etc.

I can see he is a real wine enthusiast. I say a box of 2 buck chuck and you should be straight.
I am sure he would feel it was a fair price.
