Tomorrow morning around 10AM central, I will be conducting a phone interview with Lenny to talk specifics and get the "in his own words" story of this most important development for the collector community in quite a while.
The discussion will then be converted to a Podcast where you can listen to it, in its entirety.
I, obviously, have my own list of questions, but would love to get some questions from the community.
Please post away! Can't promise we can fit them all in, but we'll sure try.
Best,
M

I always get Lenny and Seth confused. I know Lenny did Skyway and Seth SE but I mean both same era FL pros.
I was drving home from Vegas a few years ago when I heard them interviewing some guy on the radio about some car race. I nearly crashed my car when I heard the guys name - Lenny Batycki
It wasnt Nascar I forget what it was, but holy STR-1 Batman.

My question to Lenny would be about his race announcing history. He was clearly good a what he did back in the day and is still doing real well.
With that said I would ask him a few different things. How does he think announcing affected who he is today and what does he have to say about the push for Linda Dorsey to get in the National BMX Hall of Fame (RIP Linda) How about his relationship with another announcing icon from BITD Charlie Litsky (RIP Charlie) and his take on the new school announcing of Mike Redman.
Please tell him I said hello! :-) I'm looking forward to this podcast. Thanks Mike.

MIke - I look forward to your podcast. Thanks for sharing.
I do not mean to side track, but it's been in a couple of threads and I have to ask "Why does anyone owe it to "donate" something of such value (Market states the value) to the "HoF"?

How does he feel about ending the dreams of so many collectors?
I also wonder why no other collector bothered to look up and contact Seth before about any remaining SE stuff?

Did Reggie Davis ever race this frame? I recall Reggie practicing starts at Lenny's aunts house around '81 on on a turd colored bike. Davis was always trying to put me into the bucket at the end of the driveway. Is it true that Seth was planning to make a hood ornament for the Dart with the frame to impress the ladies. Good Luck Len.

I was going to mention the Charlie Litsky relationship too (not related to the STR-1). Lenny was always a cool dude and I'm sure he still is. I hope he gets a mint for this thing and spends it on strippers and Budweiser after the Taledaga 400.

Seems like a righteous guy and his heart is in the right place. His points about the frame belonging in the HOF were well made. Thanks for the interview Mike.
