Can anyone help me? i have a set of nos yellow oakley .5's (grips) i wanted a black set but cannot find them anywhere, so thought of dyeing the yellow ones. Can anyone tell me which dye to use as i have heard that its hard to dye grips well. Any help on this is much appreciated..

try rit or rid lil pellets i havent tried it myself but i hear it works go to restoration tips and tricks and at the bottom left type in the box dying grips im sure there is some help there

Don't do it!!! It does not work well with grips!!

They'll end up some strange mutant army green...

They make dye for RC car parts but they are intended for plastics like Tuffs. I have never heard of a dye that will work on a soft rubber type material like grips.

I'd just keep looking if I were you. I have a used set in red

haha i heard that they come out a mutant army green to. I think i will get rid of the yellow ones and try find some black ones. Thanks for the info guys.

Anyone want some NOS yellow oakley .5's?????

Yellow grips do not dye well. Ask Stu (84profile). Mutant Army green is a very apt description.
