They are dated 21 /10 /81....made of a material called ZYTEL...ACS MOLDED...20" the yellow is the actual colour but some idiot sprayed undercoat on them...i started to sand it back...they are very light too...

not sure what the actual "model" name is but those mags are just acs mags. they also made similar ones in alloy.

i know in the 80's acs made "z" mags but those didn't come out in until after yours.

cheers..what is ZYTEL by the way? is it another name for plastic? it kinda seems like fibreglass but its not quite...going to strip and paint them soon and thinking bout putting them on the bike i showed pix of in my other post...long as they fit of course lol

"zytel" is a dupont trade name. it's a nylon-fiberglass type composite. not sure what all else is in it.

thanks guys...i have been holding onto these rims for sooo many years now always wondering what they were actually made of ! just another question...would or could i fit these onto my 94 Mongoose Expert Comp ? im thinking of a restoration but trying to decide how far to go with it..tye talk here seems to be more of dont change too much and try and keep it pretty original...but the rust is annoying me so....i guess thats how it all starts hey ! ha ha ha
