Full Version: Tioga Powerblocks Mounting help

I've got a pair of Tioga Powerblocks on my cruiser and was convinced that I had the front tire facing the wrong way.

Looking down over the top of the tire, the outside of the thread is in a A shape in the back and V shape in the front. I assumed both needed to be in a V Shape.

Then I saw a couple of guys on the track with the exact same setup as mine so now I'm puzzled.

So which way should the tires face forward?

Some uni-directional tires have the mounting direction molded in the sidewall somewhere on the sidewall but that would too easy.

they come stock mounted with the A on redlines so I assume thats the proper way and thats they way I have mine mounted also.

Unfortunately the powerblocks don't seem to have any information on the sidewalls.. negative.gif

thanks, that makes sense since the dirt gets evacuated outwards as the tire rolls forward.

I'll fix my front tire that way too.

Thanks!
