Do A Trick
So after buying one of the Hutch Trickstar finger bikes I couldn't help but start posing a figure from the X-games motocross collection riding and doing some classic tricks. Thought this group would enjoy these pics.

I've got a couple more I'll post up soon. I'm gonna redo the moto guy too.
My thought is to sculpt the motodude by carving the full face helmet down to an old Bell Pro Plus w/ goggles and try to
capture the riders face as Woody. Then carve the suit to resemble the Hutch FS outfit and repaint the whole thing.
I've got Woody's blessing on this project, just need to find the spare time to make it happen.
Hope you enjoy the poses and tricks.

Do A Trick
Hey Pauly,
I've been busy with the family and work and trying to get out and ride as often as possible.
A couple of months ago, Hutch and I helped a friend build a Pump track in his backyard and we've been riding that alot. I'm working in my private practice and am also now an assistant teacher at a local Massage School, both of which are keeping me very busy. I'll post up some of my latests riding exploits and some pics of Hutch since it's been a while now.
How are you?

Yeah, I'm working on a way to do stop animation with this where I don't rely on the gap though.
Anyone got any bright ideas?

you might try glue dots. they are for crafting and are available in most variety stores that carry even the most minimal amount of scrapbooking supplies. you could also use what i call glue boogers which can be found in inserts in magazines and also in junk mail. you know, those sticky strips that temporarily attach things.

the ones for crafting come in a variety of thicknesses and also make sure that they are colorless because some of them have a bit of a yellowish tint.

When you think of it, it must have taken alot of time to get those poses just right.

I have more photos to share but apparently am not allowed to link to them from my Flickr account and have used up my attachment limit.... scratch_one-s_head.gif ...., not sure if I understand how we're supposed to share photos with each other.
I'm guessing this is forcing me to use the image hosting service that Mike recommends...., hope that works.

Ok, so here goes some more photos thanks to BMX Hosting.

I balanced the Miami Hopper BTW.

Now that I have an idea of how to pose the rider/bike without using the gap in the table, Thanks to BMX MOM ,
I'm gonna work on some stop animation and see if I can make a short flatland run.
Just wait until I build a wedge ramp and start with kickturns!!!

Dude! Freaking awesome. Those poses are perfect! I have a ton of these retro trix flix now.. even built up an Eddie Flying Banana! But with the rider.. that takes it to an entirely new level. Very, Very RAD.

Was at Target this afternoon and saw some new ones.

White original Haro Freestyler,

Yellow 87 RL20II (paint job is kinda messed up...chrome rear triangle, but painted forks and no black BB)

Blue GT Pro Freestyle Tour.
Jeff S
Nice job Rob. Cant wait to see your animation attempt. How about either a gut lever or a bar ride? That'd be a cool animation.. see him jump from the pedals up into a bar ride!

I've heard the white Haro was out, but have not seen it yet. My question is why that one, why not a neon green '85 Master? I've not seen the RL20II or the PFT.. is it an '87? Do both the RL20 and the PFT again come with Tuff Wheels? I don't see why they couldn't come out with replica Peregrine or GT Mags.. or even just Peregrines for both, since they had a similar look. I'm starting to get tired of every bike coming with Tuffs. I have all of the retro bikes so far, with the exception of the Motomag and Supergoose (I've never really been into Mongoose), soo I'm sure I'll be picking up one of each of these as well.
Larryboy
Yeah, Tuffs all around. I thought the same thing about the Peregrines, but oh well. I don't remember the year on the GT. I'm not super-knowledgeable about GT, but I'm sure I'd know/be able to figure it out if I looked at it again. I personally thought the Haro should have at least been chrome, but it was cool nonetheless.

Yes, the Haro should have been chrome, with black tuffs. Did those OG Freestylers even come in white? I always figured white started in '84 with that second generation, with the new graphics. That GT - did it have the S-bend downtube, or was it just the same Pro Performer they have out already, only with different graphics?

That's odd the Redline has painted forks.. maybe because it was an early production bike? I'm curious as to whether or not there will be different colors of these all as well, since the other retro bikes all have 2-3 color choices.
RL-20II Guy
I got the yellow RL-20II the other day. The decals are the exact ones that Redline is remaking now, the ones that have the gray lettering on the dotted 86 pattern. The forks are yellow too? And the rear is painted more silver....then chrome.

I also got a purple GT World Tour, and the white Haro Freestlyer. The Haro has pegs in the forks too, but the RL-20II does not have any pegs.

Here's Mat at my place a while back.

Pauly
Nice!
Larryboy
Your're right about the rear of the RL being silverish, but I gave them a pass on that. At least they tried. Plus it did have the rear standers built into the chainstays if I remember correctly.

Now that I think of it, the GT would have been an '86 (?). Just the one bend in the downtube, no S-bend.

I don't remember the fork standers on the Haro. I was in a hurry and just glanced at them. But that wouldn't be correct on an '83 Freestyler.
