Hey.....thought I'd share this build. I always liked this bike as a kid....in this color too.

Thanks to Fast Eddie for the GT cranks and Chris Lemma for the seat, seat post, Pitbuls, and the forks! Thanks to Lou for the Dyno RED!

Pauly
As I said before... it looks great! No plans for Power Series?

I had two sets of the arms for the longest time.......but no spindles, so I sold them. I just could not find any spindles.........and they really don't come available even as complete sets on ebay.

These are about 1 year shy of era correct though, I like them. Go good with the GT Prower Series neck too.
COASTY
Very nice. That looks cool!

Awesome build. I remember those bikes very well. Had the Pro Compe from that year. Where did you get the decal set?

The decals just came up on ebay about a month ago.....along with two more sets.....one was for the chrome bike too....

There's a complete set of GT Power Series cranks on eBay right now!

I met a kid in my neighborhood who got a Dyno for the junk heap and it was HEAVY. Now I mostly think Dyno's are heavy JUNK unless they have good bunnyhopping geometry.

Do your bike jump well? It looks like a tank!

Actually, it is typical weight...not bad at all. There are only a few models of upper end Dynos that are full chromoly. The local kid most likely had a lower end Dyno.

Sweet looking bike. It looks ready to ride! Very nice job on that one.

If anyone is considering getting the Odyssey Frequency G tires - they are great. I have the 20X1.85's and they are perfect on there. They come in 20x1.75 too.

Hear that everyone? Your bike's a turd unless it has "good bunnyhopping geometry".

Just put throw some Primo Powerbite cranks on that bike.
They look exactly the same and are way cheaper.

Looks good though.

I will never understand why manufacturers all decided that 990's were no longer needed after 1990.
Terrible decision.

My 96 Dyno nitro is super light, but then my 99 Dyno Air is not and the acs mags weigh it down.

?? Since when - that is what they all have now mostly. Even the front brakes are 990's now.

He's talking back then. mid 88 to the mid 90's many manufacturers stopped using 990s. They came back to their senses and started using them again eventually.
Stussy
I could be wrong but I am pretty sure it was Woody Itson that was instrumental in getting 990's back on Freestyle bikes. It was right around 94-95 that GT started using the 990's again and he was the new GT manager.

Always loved the 1990 slammers! I remember plenty pics in the mags of Voelker pulling off insane tricks on them. I wanted one bad back in the day but didn't have the funds. The bikes with the bash guards looked wild for sure. Lucky scoring those stickers! Anyway great job on the build, it's nice to see something different that hasn't been overdone.
