have you ever noticed that when you really look forward to putting in a good session at your local spot it rains for days on you? you work all week, loose an hour of daylight, and the only time you get to ride for more than 30 minutes it rains. not just a little bit, but for like 2 solid days. i actually saw cats and dogs coming down in buckets. everything gets soaked to the bone. takes days to dry. why oh why, just cant i ride? on a lighter note? the ground is very easy to dig...put in a solid 5 hour dig on the trails. put in a new four pack around stomach high. hopefully by the end of the week i can get me some... sun_bespectacled.gif
Just JeffB now
I just got a new MTB. It rained for 22 out of 30 days. One of the most reliably dry trails near here has parts under water because the lake is so high.

Needless to say I am SOOOOO thankful it`s dry and warm for at least a few days on the forecast. Gonna go ride tomorrow to clear my head then go visit my mom`s place of rest for the first time since she passed three years ago.

dig

There was a time when I would go to the trails every day (or every free day anyway) no matter the weather. The only question was what tool to bring: bike or shovel.

These days there are more responsibilities with work and family so my riding/digging time gets cut WAY back. I hope to get some digging days in soon.

Trying again tomorrow - supposed to be in the high 50's here, but windy. Hitting up the Chicago concrete parks - 31st street, Wilson, and the seawall. Stoked.

check the "old reborn' post. i put down cement on the lips, flats, and landing of the jumps, a light dusting on the straights. takes a good rain, throw the cement down, pack it, and when you come back its a smooth and fast as a driveway. 10 bucks a bag, covers about a 2 ft. by 30 ft. run. the more you put down the thicker the cement is...DUH.

hope it helps???
