I have a set of Super Maxy cranks that are in good condition but I think I am going to re-anodize them. What's the best way to prep them? They have a few dings and scuffs, but nothing major. I figure I need to sand out all the imperfections but don't know where to start. Can someone get me going here? I'm sure this has been covered before on this forum but just to lazy to go through the posts. wink.gif

well the smooth parts need to be as smooth as possible, use 400 grit on the dings and use as small as piece as you can and on as little area as you can, once you level the ding out then move up to 800 on that area till its smooth then go over the rest with 1000 till its real smooth then buff till its a mirror, then clean it good and it should be ready for the anno guy, make sure the textured areas dont get buffed as they will loose their og effect....look...feel... cool.gif
