I spend about 10 days a month living in a crashpad. All of the grocery stores are more than a mile away. Currently I only have my skateboard to get around on. Which, makes getting groceries tough. So, I need to get a, "grocery getter" bike. I really like 24" BMX style cruisers, but am not sure that is the best solution. I've been looking at single speed road bikes. They seem interesting, but I have zero experience with them. I don't care if it's new or used, it just needs to be super reliable. Any help to sway me one way or the other would be much appreciated. Thanks.

You can make ANY bike into a grocery bike by getting a Burley Nomad cargo trailer. I used it with my Haro Master to grocery shop once too!

Performance bike has a nice, flat bar fuji road bike for around 450 bucks. We got one for my sister and she absolutely loves it.
