they are 48 spoke and are concave or rounded in the middle. kinda little like the old araya aero rims. they are laced to gt superlace sealed tech hubs.didn't measure them yet but just by the way they look i feel like they might be 1.5" in width and probably double wall. thinking maybe weinmann rims? a few people mentioned double walled ukai's but i'm thinking they aren't. i was thinking they were factory gt wheels when you bought a team model which would mean sun or weinmann rims but the kid is telling me he built these himself.

under all the crud and corrosion the chrome really shines like super pro's.

any help would be greatly appreciated.will post better pictures later.

thanks for the help . not sure when axion came out exactly so will look into it. i just know these wheels were built in the 90's.he used gt hf sealed mech" hubs with used spokes but they spin perfectly.need a good cleaning though.

can't be ukai's cuz they're not welded. i have a pair laced to suzue sealed hubs. thought they were superpros till i cleaned them up. my guess would be they are either weinman rims or sun.

These look very similar to both my Weinman rims AND Sun Rims...it's hard to tell by those pictures though.

The Sun's however have an etched marking on them where as the Weinmans I have dont have ANY markings IIRC.

i am really thinking they are weinman 2525 rims. .i found various pictures of the 2525 rims over at bmxmuseum.com

some of the rims were rounded like mine and other were flat like alex or something similar.
