I never knew who the OM is until I bought one of the newschool OM Flyers and joined VBMX. Since then I've become a real fan of Scot Breithaupt. Both the "BMX legend" and the man today. I sincerely wish all the best for Scot and his family.
Thanks

I was on a SE Hot Shop team back in my day in the early '80s. Met lots of the factory team dudes, pretty cool bunch. Never had the opportunity to meet the OM though. I can say that I have always liked the SE bikes. Wouldn't have owned anything else, and still wouldn't. Scot has done a lot for the sport of BMX, and for that I am thankful.
I have heard bits and pieces of things that have happened over the years, and some apparent problems and/or situations.
I hope Scot does well, and hope all of whatever probs have plagued him are a thing of the past.
To Scot; hang tough, I hope all is well. Look forward to hearing directly from you on the boards here in the near future.
I will be praying for you.

Here's to you Old Man! I wish you only the best old friend. You were always an inspiration for the underdogs here in Nebraska.
The memories of bumping elbows with you in the first days of Pro Cruiser are here with me forever.
Stay the path. Stay strong and have a good life Scot.
Cheers!

Scot communicates regulary via text. He's doing well, in great spirits and in transition. I've known Scot along time. I've seen him leaving lock up several times. I say that only becasue I know see a humble guy ready to be done with his demons. I don't want to beat it into the ground, but his actions lead me to believe he is ready to move past his former ways.
Strength and prayers to Scot.
