So a member posted a cooks pit, and said there were only 6 made. I have seen a GT from around 82 and that would seem to be another semi early one that was pretty rare, what others are among the rarest. And what other companies made them that werent high volume companies i.e. mongoose ect.

I have a Hutch. A run of about 50 were made in 1984, today about 4 are known to exist.

JMC pits are very rare as well...and sought after.
oldschoolrider88
nah im not making fun of nick...it just looks funny for such a big guy rolling around on a Moosepit.

They werent made during the pre-serial era but they nevertheless dont have serial numbers, at least mine doesnt.

Remember the hutch DaveC scored that was the kid's from poltergeist? Crazy. Wonder where it is now...
Kathy
Yeah Jamie, that's the first thing I thought of when I saw this thread. That thing was pretty. In all my years I have never stumbled across a pit, and therefore have never owned one, but for some reason they have always held my attention. Maybe one day I'll find one at a garage sale or flea market somewhere. Oh, and I agree....more pics...

someone named Splinter over in the freestyle forum has an '87 performer pit, coolest thing I've seen in a while. It even has a mini set of power series cranks.
jesboogie
Hutch also made a 12" pit, never seen one tho. GHP pit, only one has surfaced. GT Jr Performers are not pits, but juniors. Not applicable

CW Aftershock Pit...

Not sure how rare it is, but I've never seen another one. I'm guessing it's the same as the Z500, just w/ different decals.
3rd gear
The Hutch "12 pit was overseas made.
