I have what I think is a first year Rock Shox fork in good shape, blk w pink stickers and looks like it has a 1 1/4" steerer tube. Anyone have any info on these or know what it might be worth?
Thanks,Ben

It's sounds like an RS-1 , the first model . Cool you have one in good shape but I don't have info available right now . They are air/oil is all I remember about them . Old magazines are in storage . I do have a NOS Shimano XT headset in 1 1/8" if you want to ride it . I paid $20 for my set .

I found the same fork at a garage sale. paid $15 for it but its "worth" more than that.

Yes, I have one(first gen RS-1) and when the seals leak they were not replaceable. The fork was manufactured with a one way assembly. You would have to destroy it to get at the seals...dumb

I would hope someone would have figured out by now how to resolve this. It would be fun to joy ride this fork once again.
