So this is a local dude... he used to make videos, made quite a few for riders like Andrew Clinscales, Jon Lynn, Mark Pappas, John Gaines for the Aspire videos, won a couple and such.
anyway, he made a video called "acuity" and never released it... has a lot of it online. I just watched part 3 again. I have a clip at 5:29, and then there is a part by Mark Pappas starting at 5:41.
Pappas was awesome.... and one of my best friends when I lived i INdy... I say was, because I don't know really waht is up with him nowadays.
Kinf of a sad story... He got involved with the fixies in Indy, and if you dont know much about that culture, they are kinda a wierd crew... it aint so much about the bikes as it is fashion, and wierd drugs... Alot of them like to experiment. I kind of think of them as the Warhols of nowadays, or maybe the beatnicks....
anyway, Pappas was pretty straightedge, but then he started doing some stuff with those guys, went from just drinking to pot to pot laced with embalming fluid... Which triggered his paranoid shcisoprenia... and I cant spell today. Well, now sometimes he thinks he is a vampire, other times he randomly talks about how a couple just merged together as we are walking... just wierd stuff, yoiu never know what he is going to say. Alot of his old riding buddies dont hang with him anymore... they are really wierded out. I live pretty far away now... but it is sad.
I might make an effort to reach out to him again... but people have told me he is not the same person anymore, and never will be... due to his condition and drugs. Not sure if I can handle that.
