Being a newbie on the 21st century version of BMX, I am trying to find a good bike shop that actually carries BMX parts & equip. I know there is lots available online but I generally like to hold the stuff in my hands before I lay down cash. Call me a fossil, but I hate returning stuff by mail.

I live in Logansport but work in Indy. Was not very impressed with Bike Garage in Indy for BMX stuff. Anyone know of other places?

hey man i know its not close to you, but i work at summit city bikes in ft. wayne. we have a pretty good selection of bmx stuff! mostly street and park type stuff, but a bit of race stuff as well. we also have a pretty good relationship with most of our suppliers, and if you wanna hold a part in your hands we can usually order it and return to our suppliers if you don't want. we can also give pretty good advice with two former double a's, a current racer, and a dedicated bmx dad on staff! between us we have seen or ridden most of the stuff out there! if nothing else, it is just a cool bike shop in general. loads of eye candy from the highest end road and cyclocross to full suspension and about everything in between!

sorry to be so long winded and im not sure its real practical for you to get to our shop, but if you get the chance, check it out!

Try A1 Cyclery on West Washington Street.

I feel your pain brother!
It is sad, but the days of walking into a shop to see the floor covered with BMX bikes and with anodized parts hanging from the walls.
Glass cases with high end parts from Bullseye hubs to Redline Flight cranks are gone.

Sorry I was having a flash-back to 1980. smile.gif

Try Indy Cycle Specialist at 5804 E. Washington St. On the east side of Indy.
You'll love the atmosphere and the people who run it.

Terre Haute Cycling & Fitness had a nice Hutch Pro Racer hanging on the wall last time I was there... ohmy.gif

ICS can be good but their prices are a little high.
For example... a buck for one spoke!!
