Of all of the bonehead moves you pulled pertaining to BMX, what would you undo if you could?
As for me, I wish I would have kept my old BMX Action Magazines. I had every issue from sometime during 1979 until 1985. My granny got me a subscription and renewed it every year.
They were in awesome shape, as I have always taken extremely good care of my reading materials. the first issue I ever got had Bobby Encinas on the cover. Had them all after that. It was still called Bicycle Motocross Action back then.
One day, I was cleaning some stuff up and just decided to toss them. Same with my ABA newspaper/magazines from the same time period.
King of the Boneheads. That's me.

In 1995 I left my garage door unlocked when I went to school. I came home to find my bike gone. I still remember that bike piece by piece..

S&M Holmes frame - chrome
Tange Switchblade forks
Dk Inverted XL stem
Elf Blast bars
Pitbull Brakes
Tech 77 lever with the oh so cool 90's two wrench bend
Sun Chinook hard ano rims with Philwood hubs and double butted spokes, kovachi built
ATI pistol grips
Bomber number plate
GT Megabyte tires
Profile cranks, sealed bottom bracket and bitchin' bolts
Profile spider
Hutch pedals with razorback cages

I'll stop there because I think I'm gonna cry....

Man that is a bummer. I would definately be bawling if my Quad got stolen. That is a huge chunk of my life right there.

I wish I could undo my 1980 Jag Worlds moto winning finish line wheelie. Broke my left ankle in 3 places. Was going to the main with Loncarevich and others. Didn't get to.

Also wish I could roll back my broken collarbone at Derby City Aug. 1st, 2009.

Broke 2 bones in my life. 29 years apart and both in BMX racing.

BUMMER!!!

I would definitely not have gone inside my neighbors house for 5 minutes and left my fully decked out 85 GT Pro that I worked, saved, swapped, traded and swindled for over 2 years to get, in his front yard when I was 15. It still makes me sick to my stomach thinking about it. sad.gif
OS Jbay
Not riding from 1985 to 1994. huh.gif

That I stopped riding in 96...the girl I was dating at the time seemed more important...lets just say I discovered something new wink.gif and the bike stuff went on hold.

The second was having some shady friends that had some shady friends and them knowing where my racing bike was...long story short on 2 different occasion my racing bike ended up stolen(my all aluminum mongoose solution pro) Damn I miss that bike..

Is it just me or do all BMX guys have shady friends? is it something that comes with the sport or is it really just me. lol

not having given racing pro more of an effort and quitting and not racing BMX again for 25 years...

Letting my mom give away my Thruster and throwing out my BMXA magazines

Letting go of JMC xp-2, the Harry Leary hand lettered frame....

I have a couple, first though is allowing a friend of mine take my Kuwahara to football at the high school after he PROMISED me he would bring it into the coachs office and stow it there. But NOOO he left it in a stairwell where it was stolen and to this day I can't help but think he had something more to do with it than being a careless ass. Secondly is walking away from BMX for about 15 years.

Getting off a bmx bike in 1988 to get on a mountain bike, then getting bored with that in a couple years (like all mountain bikers) and not riding anything at all for the next 18 years.

Now I'm 37, 225lbs, no cardio, and trying like hell to get back into this.

Never shoulda quit. Never.

F'n mountainbikes should be BANNED!!!
