Bradster asked me when they came out, and I don't know why I thought they were introduced in about 85 and ran till 89?? Does anyone know the history of them?

I have recently parted out my Trickstar (I just wasn't a freestyler), however, I've decided to keep the wheelset, and I'm thinking about running them on my rider Pro Racer for a little extra strength (sure they are slightly heavier)...Has anyone ever used them on a race bike?
