I dug out my old folder full of BMX stuff from the 80's. I found quite a bit a stuff, now I am wondering what may be just cool to have or what may be worth real $$$.

Here's a list of stuff, can anyone chime in on what these things might be worth?

Eddie King and Harry Leary autographed pictures with their Diamondback gear. I think I got them at a National at the Itasca track.

BMX Cards - I have about 20 in a series of 59 that have pictures of riders, bikes, etc. Some have a racers name on the back and describe a racer, others describe the bike on front, such as Torker 280 or Redline Prostyler.

Old BMX stickers. I have two sets of Diamondback frame stickers, Red/White lettering with the "prism" backgrounds, sealed in the package. I also have some other random stickers such as BMX Action Magazine, a coupe Hutch "oval" 1984 No. 1 bicycle/nora cup stickers, a couple black/yellow "FLITE" stickers and a few others.

I am sure it is not "worth money" but I also have a bunch of flyers from races in the 80's. I am thinking I will scan these in along with my old racing pictures and share them here for nostalgia sake. I have some pictures of me and my friends with the posing with pros as well.

Thanks,

Tom

OK...somebody shot me a PM and let me know that these types of posts are bad form. Sorry if I offended anyone.

Bottom line is that I am getting my kids into BMX and I am looking to find ways to offset some of the cost. I just bought 2 Kuwahara Lightspeed Mini's for my boys (7 and 6) and am going to buy something for my daughter at the beginning of next year if she still shows interest.

I have been looking at this site for a while and loving looking at all the retro stuff. I raced on team "TC Pedal Power" in the early 80's in Illinois. Itasca was our teams home track and I also raced in Joliet, Funway, Odeum, and a few others. I was young (9-13) when I raced, so the memories aren't crystal clear, but I do recall racing a few other spots as well.

Thanks, and looking forward to chattin' on this board for years to come, hopefully my kids don't bail on the sport too soon like I did. Although, I am thinking that I let the motocross bike sit a while and get back into racing myself. Just have to get rid of the spare tire I would bring with me to the track. smile.gif

Post some pix or an explanation of whatcha have, then post in the for sale forum.
Value is relative. Some people want whatcha got, some people don't. What you end up with after that sale ends is what the value is of what you own. At least for that day...
