I have my old Scorpion BMX that I am now passing to my 10 year old son. I am looking for some help identifying the bike as it says "Scorpion BMX Chatsworth CA" on the logo, but has a Haro sticker on the frame. See below..

I bought a Scorpion complete with the same tubing style around 1980. Mine was white and if I remember correctly it was more of a mid-range complete, not to high end. I never really saw many of them around but I liked it. Good luck and I wish I had more info for you.

Got a Scorpion BMX complete bike in 1982 as a x-mas gift. Not sure where it was purchased though. Your frame and fork looks good. With a little work it would clean up nice.

anyone have more info on Scorpion bikes? Im looking to possibly make a trade for an 82 mini but dont know much about Scorpion bikes.

Scorpion came out around early 1981....
I'm not 100% positive on this, but I believe they were "Bridgestone"
and switched their name.
Scorpion's sponsored Pro BMX racer and research & developement
guy was Byron Friday (a good friend).

Looks like it might be a 1983 or later as it is "going gussetless". 1982 and prior had a single gusset.

i see your bike has scorpion rims.Scoprion did make a super team model that was chrome and black super super rare bike.scorpion came with a weld frame as well as a lugged frame.some of the 83 84 were called sx and sx2. than the weld frames are zx models.The sx2 cost $225 and the zx models cost about $139.

If it's your Scorpion why do you need help identifying it?



I'd say the badge trumps the sticker, plus Haro, to best of my knowedge, never built/sold anything lugged.

Sorry but you sound just like another Noob flipper coming here to get quick indentification on a yard sale find before dumping it on e-bay. Happens frequently on the OS BMX sites
