Do Ace Holeshot frames have much of a following? I found one I could probably get pretty cheap but don't know if they command much respect. I'm an oldschooler and know little about the mid school stuff.

Pretty scarce, and desirable to mid-school collectors. If it's reasonable, I'd definitely grab it.

Thanks, guys. I may pick it up.

ACE nickname for Andy and doubled for Andy Currie Enterprises. Andy ran a shop out of New Jersey but he was not just a bike shop owner but a racer and a good one. Get it, they have a cult like following now, more popular then when they were in business.

Andy runs Chip-N-Dale bike shop in MOUNT HOLLY, NJ. I'm sure he could give you all the info you want to know about them. Still supporting BMX and a great guy.

I picked it up today for $30. I offered him $20 and he said no thanks. That was yesterday, so I was nervous that it wouldn't still be available today, but it's now mine. I'll post pics tomorrow if I get a chance.
I don't really have any need for it, so I'll probably put it up for sale or trade soon.

That is a screamin' deal considering I just sold my cruiser for 3 bills.
From what I know, they had two different production runs. One that wasn't heat treated properly and a second run that was. The second run stuff is bombproof. Mine was one of two local ACE cruisers. The other is still in use both for riding and racing. The frame is a bit out of date as far as the new racing standard is concerned but they are killer bikes and built to last!
There is a ton of info out there and as stated above, the builder/owner is still around so details are still easily found.

Coool frame Jeff! Looks like the dropouts are hogged out for 14mm axles. You still thinking of parting with it?

Hogged out. Is that an actual technical term??
Yeah, I'm gonna sell it to try generating $$$ for another project. I'm hoping to get about $200 but I really have no idea what it's worth. The guy above got $300 for a cruiser so I thought $200 was in the proper neighborhood. Heck, if it brings $50 I did okay, plus it will go to someone who really wants it.
