Hunter and his family would like to thank the many, many friends and families that have called to check on his injuries. We would also like to thank the EMS staff at Derby city for all of their effort to get him to childrans hospital the fastest way possible. He will be out for a while but was able to make it to the track to bump the gate sunday before they allowed us to leave Louisville. He has some damage to his bicep muscle and 10 stitches. We will see his regular doctor on tuesday and let everyone know what the prognossis is. AGAIN THANK YOU ALL!

Hope he heals up fast. Good Luck to him and my prayers are with you guys.

I will tell him Lamar..He was impaled by a broken post ontop of turn 2 and needed surgery and alittle TLC....you know what that means..........LEGO STORE!

Wow! i wasnt told about his accident,funny thing was when i saw them putting the banners up on the turns i was saying to someone they should use something other that the wooden stakes for that.. that sucks it happen to him..

Hunter will be out 3 to 6 weeks and poss. no further damage...maybe a little physical th. but all else looks good, again thanks for all the calls!!

Just a note for all of Hunters friends. There has been a small setback and he will need to keep the stitches for another 15 days, so he will not be racing anytime soon. The doctor tried to take the first stitch out and his muscle started to poke back out. Thanks again for the calls and notes it is keeping him upbeat! oh and THANKS for the banner post through my kids arm!!!
