Hi everyone, i'm new here and hope to not break any forum rules, etc with my post as i'm primarily looking for some positive identification help.

I recently came into two vintage BMXs, a Kuwahara Laster Lite and Mongoose Supergoose with Motomags. Both are in entirely original condition and i'm hoping to get some definitive indentification help on them. I'm planning to keep the Kuwie as i have always wanted one and it's a helluva lot lighter than the Free Agent i currently have but i'm going to be upfront - i am planning to sell the Mongoose which is why i'm looking to get a positive ID on it but i'm not looking for value, etc as i've done enough research there.

Pics of the Mongoose can be seen in the following links. I had thought i had it pegged to 1980 based on some other research i had done but after taking with some friends, we're not 100% sure.

I'm grateful for any help people can provide.
Kurt.
1980 Mongoose Motomag. Not a Supergoose. Most stickers and the pad aren't original. Lot of parts changed from OG - like the seat, grip pedals. Shame the original owner had their licence number or whatever engraved on the frame and bars. Anywhere else?
Dave Muggleston
Nice scores. Love the Kuwahara. The Goose looks good too, with the yellow parts. Just flip the seat guts and swap out those pedals for something more appropriate. As long as the Motomags aren't cracked, that bike should bring some good money on eBay.

Thanks for the info guys. It doesn't look like there's anymore engraving anywhere.

I'm kind of surprised all the pads, etc aren't original. What would have this bike come with?
Kurt.
Check www.vintagemongoose.com to see t he right stickers and pads - the font was always different to the ones on your Goose. Nice pickup though!

Cool Mongoose! I'll trade you a Walrusman figure for it?

Just kidding, not about the bike, it's cool, about the Star Wars figure trade. I just looked at your site with the Star Wars tattoos & toys. Awesome! I've got a couple Star Wars tattoos myself, I'll have to e-mail you pix to put up there.

That other number stamped in it looks like what the police station would do to your bike if you had it registered with them. Supposed to help you get it back if it was stolen and they found it. I remember I had that done with one bike when I was a kid. It was awful. They just pounded it in there, chipped the paint to hell. Oh well, I was probably like 12 or something at the time.

Thanks for all the help guys. I finally got around to listing this on eBay.

Donvader, glad you like the site. I also wrote a book on SW tattoos called The Force in the Flesh you can check out here: www.theforceintheflesh.com

Do you collect vintage SW stuff or new stuff?
