Just added a grom race as well $5 for any of the local kids who wanna get in on the action as well. Going to try and get some glow in the dark grips from knight to supply to the main makers of that class, I guess woodside bike shop has a small crew they wanted to bring out? So I said sure bring em along and the class has been formed!

Rick @ Standard Bikes has just hopped on the long list of supporters.
Steve,
We will have to go over this a little more but how about we use that $100 to distribute to what is shaping up to be a 30 and over flat pedal race for those who are active racers. Shadrick from Sac has shown interest and when I let him know that the human dragster part 2 aka Al Porter was a local at SC and wouldnt be beat on flat pedals by anyone west of the east coast he said to count him in! That class could be very worthy of some cash and is quite often overlooked, but just imagine- pricer/shadrick/coover/porter/rio frio/roybal/m melvin/50 cent Cato all on flat pedals?!?!?!
* The NCC promotions group will not let the truth get in the way of building hype

, all in all this race will be for laughs and a good relaxed day of riding but it should also be noted that Rodney has been quoted as stating "Not a single rider from the 916 area code has the talent, luck, or ability to even make a main at the NCC, if those guys were wise they would look into the all girls clinic which kicks off at 2pm" Ouch.

Please, I didn't even do that many when I was training for the Redline Finals. I'm thinking a night of drinking is an acceptable substitute. I'll be hitting up Roseville tomorrow night though!

RodneyR
Feb 22 2010, 11:36 PM
GO Porter!! 40 on a 20 beatin the teenagers!! Tim the reason we din't get the RCQ Is because I sent a letter to the ABA and they agreed with me, the track is a tire width too long!!

whats the new layout gonna be????
Titanium Tim
May 17 2010, 03:42 PM
Back to the old M layout but we are moving turns 1 and 3 closer so it will be a little shorter. I was out there at lunch today and the builder was busy tearing everything down so he has a clean surface to start with.
If you are on Facebook, look for the fan page "Rebuild Santa Clara PAL BMX", I will be out there every day and will post updtaed pictures each evening.
This weekend and next week is volunteer time! If you want the track to be reopened quickly, come out and help!

Oct 13 2010, 10:18 PM
30ish and over can be arranged! Canned food drive effort this year. More than likely going to be ten can entry or $10 riders choice which if its $10 I will more than likely just buy some cans with all the cash and donate that as well.
Dirt Jumps again... I think?
Grom Bandit Open... I think?
4 Classes again- 29&under sketch and 30&over super sketch for the park guys,
and 29&under $$$ class for the not so noobs and 30&over for the pedal guys! more details soon!

Oct 13 2010, 11:02 PM
Nicks last post #90 should say 30 over FLAT Pedals......
nickdawghaters
Oct 16 2010, 12:08 AM
NCC is always a flats only event. That rule is firm.
Question though... Who should grace this years plate? With Cecil on last years the bar has been set high... I was thinkin Terry T? But very open to other nominations...
A cape is not only welcome but its very encouraged!
RodneyR
Oct 16 2010, 10:05 AM
You set the bar Correct, Cecil most High. Terry T - Another Great choice. lot of talk about the race last nite at the track. gonna be good!! sidenote: prayers for your boy TJ.

Oct 16 2010, 10:47 AM
Yeah it was kinda spur of the moment but last week I was with a few of the trail boys from santa cruz and they said when is the next race, I figured out it was like this exact time last year so Id better get on it. Hoping to up some canned food stock for a few families and do some good. Also going to use it to hype up the new livermore program and fee structure, so people that day will have the chance to sign up for NBL at that discount $99 for a whole year of racing, keeping in mind when you get to 20races Ill be paying you back $99

Doin it!

As for Livermore Im working with the city right now...

Thanks Nick....and just my two cents, I think you should keep the plates the same with Cecil on them as it is a great tribute to one of the best riders.

I am trying to change it to a different NOR*CAL legend each year or someone in the sponsor side aka an old shot of Moeller was tossed around this year... The bar was definitely set HIGH with the cecil plate though so changing it up will be tough. I actually just rocked my cecil plate @ reno and quite a few older dudes in practice were way psyked. I seriously have 125 tee shirts from sayiwont.com, $400 in Levis gift certificates, s&m and empire swag, sayiwont flex flit caps and wristbands and a ton of other items just waitin for a few dry days and a chance to have the 3rd annual nor cal classic... what are you going to keep all that swag in? Well the official sackpack of course! Courtesy of Levi's they hooked me up with custom bags for all the riders too... If things stay sunny this next week possibly Saturday after this weekend? Who knows!
