im about to order a redline flight. Im 5.7 and im riding a PK ripper now with a 20.5" top tube that feels small. Ive tried an xxl with a 21.7" top tube and that feels good, but that was only at the shop. Should I go for the xxl? If its a bit big what problems could I have?

I'm 5'8" and ride pro xl frames, one has a 21" tt and my race bike is 21.25" and they fit nice i think a double might be a little long. If someone at your track has a xxl and would let you take a lap, i'd try that and see if you feel comfortable on it.

My brother is 5'7" and he rides a 21" top tube that fits him perfectly. I guess a lot of it depends on your arm length. I'm 6'2 and ride a 21.5" top tube. Most people my height would ride a longer frame, but I have short arms for my height.

Bottom line is to ride what's comfortable to you.

Anybody?
bradshimmin
I'm 5'10" and was riding a 22+ish" top tube cruiser with an 11.5 bb height and thought it was groovy until I jumped on a smaller 21.25ish top tube bike (from 1999) with an 11.75ish bb height and suddenly realized that I had just been a passenger on the larger bike (going where the bike took me). On the smaller frame, I felt like I was actually able to move the bike around under me with more control and less effort. I guess it's like being in love. It's different for everyone and you can't really say why; you just know that you are.

You could ride it, but like bradshimmin said a smaller bike would feel more comfortable and you could have more control. With a frame that size, you may have trouble pulling the front end up. I'm 6'5" and ride a 21.5".
