The bars and stem are different than the ad but still Redline

The headtube & fork decals are not original but I think the others are.

even the original MACH grips are in great condition

Sweet!!!!

If you'd like, please PM me your address and I will send the Stu Thompson Handlebar decal.
Average Joe
Thanks for the offer Juan, but the bars are not STR series. The stem & bars are different than the ad.
Lonewolf
Juan, How cool.
Lonewolf
Now Joe. Is this the same one we told you not to paint but to just clean up?

It is, huh? I was just trying to get it straight in my head who you were. It's all coming back to me.

Clean ups usually have a greater effect than we think. It looks great!
Lonewolf
Okay, that's funny but you can take the reflectors off now.

How much do you want for it? wanna trade me some stuff?

PM me. Let's talk.

Looks awesome! I want it... cool.gif

Very cool - stem and bars are possibly stock though?
When they updated them to the Forklifter?

Decals on the frame - you don't see those much.
In all the adds you never really noticed the top of the decals (the solid black part) so cool to see them in full.

Either way - 700P - budget Proline - pretty cool.
Lonewolf
It's got a lot of "ACE" potential if done correctly. Unfortunately, in this case, that doesn't mean stock.

Wondering what happened to the decals on the forks. Were they cut off?

MadCowboy
Very nice bike!

And kudos to juan for offering the correct bar decal. That bike needs one. take him up on it.
Average Joe
This bike was acquired complete and original; it is not the RL-20 F&F that I posted in the Freestyle forum earlier this year-I hope to finish that soon.

The only things I changed on this bike are the tires (it was acquired w/blackwall comp III's), and I the repop headtube & fork decals b/c the originals had been completely removed and the pads are not og to this bike.

The handlebars are stamped Redline, not STR series, so they should not have a Stu sticker.
I concur w/Andy Diamond that this bike probably left the factory w/forklifter and Proline bars. Maybe a late season change.

No need to remove the reflectors since they are og.
Besides don't the Mongoose collectors love reflectors & chainguards on their Motomags cool.gif
Double Chevron
Awesome bike !!

glad to see that I'm not the only who likes reflectors wink.gif
mr coasterbrake
they did indeed change to forklifter bars part way thru 1984.
