Hi guys. I like Vintage BMX. I think its great. Brings people together nicely. What a grand philosophy!

I Had to chime in on this thread as the "crickets" comments were funny. Look at the LOVE I get from the admin. here on Vbmx. How such a legendary BMX company can get such preferencial treatment is just wonderful. I have always Just tried to showcase our NEW relevant BMX specific components from one of the only TRUE USA BMX companies still left out there. Isnt that what this is about? I see other companies doing it everyday here and I think its great. I dont advertise here and I dont have a button. Neither do 100's of BMX companies that post here.

I do feel compelled to show off our new wares. I am proud of them. They go from a sketch on my desk. To 3D Solidworks. To the CNC. Its awesome. I live the BMX lifestyle. I design and fabricate and test and decide as I go. I RIDE TOO! I am flooded with emails for our products on a daily basis. Im sorry if I dont get back to you right away. I am the only one doing it all. Everyone of my posts or threads have been eagle-eyed, dissected and scrutinized BIGTIME. I get emails regarding it all the time. Its kinda funny and disheartening at the same time.

I love BMX. I live and breathe it everyday. Its my passion. Its my livelyhood. It is where all my enthusiasm is derived from. I do this all for the TRUE cycling advocates. The ones who love human powered propulsion. You will find In life people will try and break that spirit, steal that passion. break that vibe. Fight you down. Kill your buzz. Stop the momentum....etc.....But they will not take that from me. Ever. Dont let anyone ever steal that from you!

Thanks for the support guys- you know who you are. Brakes are 90% complete- stems are done-Headset is testing now.

Thanks to Vintage BMX for letting me post. Once every 3 months. Without locking or removing my info. The industry and the enthusiasts thank you as well.

They look GREAT! Is there a weight limit on them like the front load?

Steven,

Thanks for being an innovative and progressive producer of in house, US made components. Your dedication to continue to mesh the past with present is important to the sport and greatly appreciated by many of us. Keep up the good work!

HA!! Thanks for the update Steven!!

I have the new platform pedals and they are the daddy rabbit. I like them way better than my Crupis. Now I gotta score one of those stems.

n2o
Aw, yeah! Red stem and chain tensioners should be at my house by the end of the week!

Yep, I just purchase a awesome set of hubs and a new stem off of Steve last night. These are some of the nicest BMX components on the market.

If that's going to make you huff, get all offended and go on tilt, better get back to the Museum right away. I'm sure there is a 90 page thread on some useless topic waiting to be argued to death by one post that is four words, followed by the next, as long as "Industrial Society and Its Future," followed by 89.8 pages of basically the same positions, restated over and over and over again. Don't miss out on all the fun.

M

What's with this negativity about the Museum? huh.gif Take a look around here, as you've got no room to talk. It's the same thing here with all the "BMX bike investors / legends in their own minds". The only place with more "My bike is bigger than yours" mentality is OS!! rolleyes.gif

I only come to the retro section or mid-school section b/c they aren't like that. cool.gif

Perhaps you didn't read the "done to death" JDB thread a couple months ago (when that post was written) that spun over and over and over again back on itself, saying the same things, by the same people. It was page after page of "+1" and "You tell 'em" and hyper analyzing everything the last guy said for an excuse to incise him.

But whatever. Since you love the Museum so much, better get back on over there.

Besides, I thought I deleted this thread.

I really don't understand the hate here. I don't see where this thread took a wrong turn other than the crickets statement.
MikeCarruth
That's the funny thing. The crickets statement was just a different way of saying "Bullseye does not post here anymore." It was nothing more than that, as far as I was concerned. It wasn't a coded statement or somekind of sly dig on them. But then again, I took multiple times to hear "My Sweet Satan" in a backward playing of Stairway to Heaven, so...

What you're seeing off my posts is not hate, more frustration than anything. I was content with things on this thread, even letting Bullseye's little bitchfest go unanswered. But then it has to get cranked all up again by calling me out. The frustration happens when people take remarks made two months ago and decide to dredge them up again. And then people who spend tons of time here can't help but join in to say how lame this place is.

I mean, if it's so lame what the bumfuzzle are you doing up in here then? You know? It isn't Leavenworth. If you don't like it here, MOVE. ON. Or else get on board and be cool with the world within these walls.

As for my separate-though-related issue with Bullseye, I just don't like it when people with something to sell freeload on the site and want to get promotion for their product for free. And when they're asked to stop, they keep doing it. And then they brag about it by saying things like "I dont advertise here and I dont have a button."

20+ other companies in the industry see the value, and step up and do the right thing. I invested a ton of money and effort in this site over the past two years, why should Bullseye get to come on here and tighten their pockets for free? I mean, he can't even spend $35 on a site supporter account? It's pretty obvious it ain't the money, so it must be simply on principle—which is way worse in my book.

Dude said in his post "I am flooded with emails for our products on a daily basis" Well, if that is due to promotion on my site (4,000 views in four months), then he should be advertising here. if it isn't, then he need not promote here anymore. Period. It's not personal. He says "I love BMX. I live and breathe it everyday. Its my passion. Its my livelyhood," Guess what? Me too—so give some respect and you'll get respect back.

Regardless of how much I like the products (and I do), everytime I see one now (on or off the site), I get a knot in my stomach (probably the Scorpio in me).

I am not trying to "break anyone's spirit" nor "steal their passion." But I am not down with people who hop the turnstile either.

This thread only survived this long because it was started by an advertiser.

Hmmmmm...
Thread isn't deleted...
But, there is NO Bullseye ad either.
Wow, you have some patience there, buddy.
I have ridden Bullseye for over 20 years...but, man, they need to step-up and support the site.
superjeer
This thread wasn't started by bullseye. It was started by who is a site sponsor and is advertising product they stock. He's the one that (now) feeds the thread as well. I don't see any issue with it.

>>>EDIT ALERT<<<
I had to delete your photos and re-posted one as a favor. you posted them at full resolution of 1900 pixels wide. That broke our layout and took forever to load. Please, in general, but especially in this thread, only post images that are 700px wide or under.

You can use http://www.picnik.com to resize images via a web browser, if you do not have a desktop utility like photoshop.

Thanks!

Dang that's a big ol' stem.

they have extensive.....machining, theres slots and grooves all over, as light as the stock redline and VERY stiff, and they look a billion times cooler.

Looks like I'll have stock of these stems and chain tensioners in during this coming week. Brakes will be following shortly after....

I can't wait to see the brakes. I need brakes and I've been patiently waiting to see the new ones from Bullseye before I go out and buy anything.

Any update on the brakes? I've been checking coloredtuffs.com every day to see if they're available yet and it's getting a little old. I've been hearing about these for months... coming shortly... 90% finished... etc. Are we any closer to actually being able to get them... really?
ColoredTuffs.com
The brakes are pretty much done. Bullseye is just waiting for the small brake hardware kits to show up there for final assembly. That is what is causing the holdup.

Thanks for the update. I've waited this long, I guess I can hold out a little longer...
