I think so far the hardest thing im finding is trying to get a few sets of nice 20'' complete 36 spoke wheels. a few offered cranks and frames, nothing on wheels. odds and ends are easy to get. unless I just wait til paypal builds up then I will order a few sets of complete cheaper sun type wheels from one of our site supporters who advertise here.

Anything is excepted as donations, and we will just piece what I got.

Okay Nick, here is what I'm proposing on the DK Fury (and just so everyone knows, the flash is washing the color out in the pics above - the bike is a medium green - very closed to "anodized green")

You need to get to disassembling and cleaning!

I'll post up some pics shortly - about to start polishing this power disk (I decided to go ahead and strip and polish it - then I'll bolt it to a black chainring with the green bolts.... then the nickel chain will really set it off.

Let me know if that freewheel is a 3/32" or 1/8" so I send the right chain (or I can just send a new freewheel if that one is wonky).

I have a beautiful red NOS hyper boxter frame coming, could use some 36 spoke wheels in red, chrome, or we could do bike all in black if i could find some nice black wheels. Going to also need a fork, headset and stem. it is coming with seat post, bb. and frame...

When I had it built it up it was done with all black parts and looked sick.

I have a set of wheels in black with black hubs, but don't know if I'm ready to part with those yet. It's always good to have a spare set sitting around. I never know when my old arse is going to pull a super-case and taco my rear wheel. I've done it before.

IM SURE WE WILL FIND SOMETHING, WISH SINZ WOULD SEND ME A SET OF THERE BLACK WHEELS!!!

also, the frame is Red Anodized... so any red ano parts would look sick on it as well.

I sent letters to every local bike shop, newspaper and tv station on this event. Even like 50 big companys. maybe some good stuff will turn up at my door step to go with the other wonderful items i got so far. So far we will have 2 race bikes.


My buddy has a beautiful Dyno he got when he was a kid in the late 80's- early 90's. rode it once and stored it. Im trying to get off him, but he wants $100 complete, so i need some paypal donations. Would be a great freestyle bike for a kid.

I also got a hoffman TAJ frame and fork donated, and my brother just donated a 1984 chrome redline frame and fork. Both have mild tube dents and damge in the back. These would be super bikes, maybe the frame DR would be up for donating some time to fix these, then maybe i can get them powder coated???? Both local donations, that i Just want made super nice if going to a kid in need,

YES SIR. IF IT IS IN GOOD SHAPE. FINISH I CAN REDO. IF I DONT GET MANY COMPLETE BIKES MADE, I CAN ALWAYS JUST REFERB FRAME AND FORKS AND GIVE THEM AWAY ALSO., WHICH WOULD BE A START AND A BIG HELP TO ANY KIDS.

Also. VINTAGE MEMBERS I need you to ask around your local shops and tracks to see if you can find a deserving kid who really wants to race or freestyle. I dont want to upgrade there bike, someone who does not have a bike at all. Maybe there has been that special kid helping around your track or shop taking alot on intrest. Someone who shows potental in the sport. Someone whos parents cant seem to afford to get them what they need. Maybe BIG BROTHERS, BIG SISTERS, united way, or something like that. Everyone do some diggin and give me your honest feedback, and lets see what we can do to make this special.

UPDATE....

Out in the garage, cleaning and redoing BB. Going to need new bearings, so I will go get some tommorrow. Going to add Porkchops new disk, clean up the rest of the frame. Coming along real good. This is the DK fury frame.









cleaned the spindle, and parts, going to get new bearings, added new disk, very cool and a 1/3 of the weight of the DK one ( the whole bottom bracket with new alum disk weighs near the same as the DK only disk) , working on wheels now, and waiting on powder.

SORRY ABOUT THE PICS, ITS RAINING HERE AND THE INSIDE OF THE GARAGE IS HARD TO TAKE PICS OF.

Whenever you have a chance today, I'd like to talk to you for 15-20 mins., over the phone would be fine, just about why you set up this bike drive -- if you could call it that? -- is interesting and important, what made you decide to do it, etc., and if I could set up a photo of you and some bikes, or you, Rick and some bikes that would be wonderful, too. We'd send a photographer out to take the shot.
