Most of you guys know me for my Midwest bmx program. But now I am out to help someone who helps me.
My buddy doug has bad luck follow him, if he didnt have bad luck he wouldnt have any at all.. Doug has put his heart and soul into helping me with my program, finding bikes , parts, kids to give bikes too and so on. He has helped me strip bikes by hand, and do alot of dirty work and never asks for a thing. Before he lost his job he started a non profit bike race team which he got all the kids who didnt make teams to be on a team, provided them with killer custom jerserys, rides to races, custom number plates exc, then he lost his job..
Doug is a family man with 3 kids. His wife works 2 min wage jobs to keep food on the table. Doug just landed a Pt time job to help delivering pizzas while he finds full time work doing anything.. Heres what i am trying to do...
Doug drives a 1986 s10 that he paid $150 for that barley runs, the other night his wife got chased by some dude they didnt even know and got ran off the road and destroyed the front end of the mid 90's crown vic... Now they have the $150 s10 for both of them to get to work.. I would like to help them fix the family car as for they had liability only and they didnt catch the person who ran them off the road.
I know times are tough for all, but damn i dont want him to loose his only job because he cant deliver pizzas because his wife has the car. I dont want him to sell his kids bikes.. and they do alot for me and bmx, so id like to see some people would help out some and help us rebuild the car. if we get parts my brother is a body man and would help. Maybe sell it and get them a better car.. I just dont want to see him get out of bmx as for we have been friends for 15 yrs and he has always rode..
MAYBE IF I CAN PULL THIS OFF IT WILL GET HIM OUT OF HIS FUNK..
Just trying to help a bro out on the holidays.... you can help by paypal @ ORANGESVTFOCUS03@AOL.COM AND TYPE I " HELP DOUG" OR YOU CAN MAIL TO

Hi Nick!
I read your post on Craig's list and I felt like I should send you an email. My name is Corey Wallace, I'm a single full time Dad to an 11 year old boy, Ethan. I'm a full time student studying to get a degree in Education. I'm hoping to teach middle school with an endorsement in music. I've spent the last 23 years as a journeyman plasterer but that career has ended with a worn out rotator cuff. So now, I'm trying to find a different career. I've been struggling for the last couple of years just to get by with going to school and all of my domestic duties.
My son, Ethan is a remarkable and athletic boy. He LOVES to ride his bike. Well, he used to love to ride his bike. I've bought him several and one by one they have all been stolen. We have our suspicions as to who is taking them but we can't prove it. The person(s) responsible have since moved out of our neighborhood and it's time for him to get a bike. I simply can't afford anything that he likes. To be honest, I wish I had the bike I rode when I was a kid. I had a Red Line with all the extras....it was my pride and joy. I mowed lawns, shoveled snow, raked leaves, and pretty much anything to earn enough money to buy it from a friend. I came from a very large family and the only bikes I had to ride were my older brother's bikes. I was determined to get that bike and I did. Ultimately, a few years later, I ended up giving it to a kid that I met who's family was poor and would never have been able to afford a bike like that. I think it raised his confidence like it did me. I was getting my license and was interested more in cars. When I think back that many years ago, I remember how important it was to have a nice bike. When I got mine it made me feel great. There's no substitution for a boy's bike.
I had intended on getting Ethan another bike this summer but my finances wouldn't allow me to. He has been patient and he deserves a good one. I've looked around and with my student loans and all the bills I have, I just can't do it right now. I have been saving for Christmas and I know that I can't afford a new bike so I was looking on Craig's list to find something used and affordable and I saw your post. So, if you find that you have an extra bike that hasn't gone to someone more deserving, Ethan would be overjoyed to have one. I almost didn't write this letter because of my pride but my son is worth more than that. Thank you for your consideration.
So I gave him this, cleaned up and more decked out of course..

After talking to dad, and him telling me how good his son is, and how he can live without them having cable or any thrills, it seems lke the perfect fit.

HERE IS WHERE ANOTHER BIKE IS GOING TOGO TOMMORROW..
I GOT A LIKE NEW NEXT BIKE THAT SHOULD MAKE HIM SMILE FOR XMAS
Hello,
I am writing to you pertaining to my 7 year old son. The bearings went out on his old bike early this summer and we haven’t had the means to get him a new one. He loves to ride bikes, we have a bike ramp that him and his friends like to use with their bikes. My son is an average size 7 year old and I think that an 18-20 inch bike would be perfect for him. We have been looking around for a bike on craigslist for him for Christmas as buying a new one is pretty much out of the question. My family consists of my husband and I and our 3 sons ages 17, 14 and 7. My kids do not expect a lot for Christmas as they understand the financial struggles we go through each month just to buy groceries let alone Christmas presents. My husband and I have been shopping at the Goodwill store also for some clothes for the boys for Christmas and hoping to find a bike there but so far no luck. We would appreciate you considering our son for one of your bikes as we know he would LOVE to have a bike again but just can’t seem to find the money to purchase him one. May God bless you in all that you do!
Thank you,
Susie

Im sorry I have neglectled to post here for quite some time.. We have had a slow year, and i was hoping to have more pictures to post of kids recieving bikes, but no body ever gave me any.. The program is doing some cool stuff. We got invited to do a BIG BOYZ BIG TOYZ show at a expo center and it will be a huge event. it is held by 2 famous radio disk jockies and we are building a bike for the show, then to raffle it off there. The proceeds will go right to the program.... Then I have been working on the MIDWEST BMX FEST. Something else to make money for the program since times are tough.. I got alot of misc parts, but as usual WE ARE SHORT, CRANKS, HEADSETS, BB'S, 1/2 PEDALS, RACE FRAMES!!!!!!
Sunday I got this donated by a very cool guy who brought it from a few hours away...
SPECIALIZED HEMI MINI AND IN SUPER CONDITION

Not only did he drop this off, he also dropped off 2 or 3 new pairs of fly pants, 3 pairs of matching gloves and shirts... Very killer donation as for we NEVER get gear donated!!!!!!!
On a side note, we also got a donation of $100 from another guy who is a very good program supporter. We used this money for stamps, envolopes, copys, misc to send fest stuff out and donation letters, so hopefully that $100 turns into 10x the amount.....
The Mini above has also already found a home to a lucky girl.. more on that later...
SO SINCE WE ARE DOING OTHER STUFF AND NOT BUILDING, COLLECT YOUR OLD PARTS AND SEND THEM HERE TO THE PROGRAM. ITS TIME TO COLLECT. I GOT LIKE 20 BIKES IN QUE AWAITING PARTS AND MONEY TO FINISH...
WE CAN ALSO USE DONATIONS FOR THE MIDWEST FEST RAFFLE TABLE, SMALL UNUSED PARTS THAT WILL ALSO HELP US RAISE SOME $$$$$.
THANKS GUYS,,

This bike came to me in wonderful shape. I cant leave well enough alone and cant give a bike that was someone else's so i changed it up some. I added a checkered UNI seat, AME grips. RED/Chrome link chain, Chopsaw use sproket, red brake cable from porkchopbmx.com and added new SE sealed cassette wheels with new tioga tires on them to change it up. Nick, I got the bike last thurs morning, and last night (wed.)I finally worked a shift on the same day as Scott and was able to give it to him. The guy is unbelieveably stoked!! I didn't have my phone with me (not allowed at work) to get pics but we planned a ride for weekend after next, my grandson and I with him and his kids (weather permitting) and I'll be sure to take a camera along and get some good pics.
Thanks again so much! This really is a huge deal for him. He's positive that it's probably the coolest bike ever built. :-)

Anyone have any ideas on how to sell raffle tickets for the warbird? LOL.... ultra slow sales. I got a ton of projects to finish, and wanted to have some funds to finish another bike for a high profile show at the end of the month that could be huge for us... I need about $300 to do just some of the things we really need to do in the next month or 2, not including the midwest fest.. Things around the program are very slow and im just building personal randoms right now me and my bro have had laying around, we need to get rocking here. If it stays this slow. I may just shut it down. Who knows.. Tough times for all right now..

We are still in VERY BAD NEED OF 1 1/8 threadless headsets. brake cable ends so when you cut cables you can put ends on. seats, seat posts under the size of 27.2 got a ton of those. Freewheels. all sorts of bottom brackets. Running low on tires of race and freestyle... CRANKS AND WHEEL SETS OR HUB SETS NEEDED DESPERATLY... We have a bunch of brake cables, right levers, but no freestyle matching pairs. alot of used 9/16 pedals. bars we have.. threadless race forks are almost gone.. We have a crap ton of freestyle bikes, but very little race frames.. Its weird how stuff stacks and stuff dont come. i can build 20 bikes 50% completes....
We also have a expert here we could use bars and a wheel set for, crank arms also. i have a mini frame and fork it needs the works. I even have a JR crusier that might be coming are way frame only thats super high end we could use everything for also.... V BRAKE SETS NEEDED ALSO....

NOW TO FIND NEW JR CRUSIER PARTS... HARD TO FIND! EXPENSIVE!

This person is super deserving and needs some good karma coming his or her way.. We have a huge plan for this, but this will not be a cheap build, so we are asking for help. This should be a build to remember and talked about for some time. Only a selected few know about this.... So if you can spare $5, 10,50,100 trust me it will be worth it!
