White Industries 18T trials freewheel.
The trials specific ENO freewheel was developed specifically for trials riding. Typically the trials freewheel is installed on the crank arm and a fixed gear is used at the hub. The two main issues with trials is quick engagement and durability of the freewheel. The trials version addresses both of these concerns. We have designed a specific outer gear case that is beefier than our standard freewheel. The case, like all our freewheels, is made out of 8620 steel, cased hardened and then electroless nickel plated. In short, made to last. The engagement system is a six pawl system yielding 72 points of engagement, double that of our standard freewheel. Can this freewheel be used in a typical single speed non trials application? Certainly. Available in 18t only. Made in the USA.
p.s. They spin forever!

I've been riding the same Bullseyes since 1989 and they are smooth as butta. You have a nice wheelset there. Not too mention, thos Bulleyes are pretty strong for something that weighs next to nothing.

Nice hubs.... out of interest any free play in them, that is the only reason I don't use them on my rider is I find the rattle you get if they have play is so annoying to me. It seems some have play others don't...
and you made the ultimate choice in freewheels, those things are pretty expensive, but worth EVERY cent!

Nice hubs.
Those are OEM, well they appear to be. I had Bullseyes in the 80's, and the drive side rear collar was black, not silver. And the bearings had orange seals.

I agree with the Orange Seals on the bearings for NOS. I never saw any with Black collars. Every pair I owned / own, have silver collars.
Either way, I think you have a nice pair of OEM Bullseye hubs there to enjoy for many years.

Mine did. I remember clearly, because I often wondered why the one collar was a different color to the rest.

Hey Thanks a lot. It's been a long time coming. The freewheel hasnt come in yet so the back wheel isnt mounted. But I put the front on and it looks really good! I'll try and take a couple pictures tomorrow.

You can still get Bullseyes with the orange colored bearing seals. I don't know if there is any distinguishing 30 year old Bullseyes from brand new ones. S a w e e t bike though.
