Anyone using a coaster brake hub these days? I wanted to build up a cruiser freestyle bike with a coaster brake as that's what I use ride with in the 80's. I could only source some old Shimano and Bendix hubs. There's another brand named Velosteel but I'm unfamiliar with the quality. Thanks.

i always have and still do run coaster. i'm partial to current shimano hubs.
Almost all of the Suntours were cannabalized (sp?) to make freecoasters by flatlanders in the 90's, which is why you rarely see them intact.

Bendix would be my first choice as they are reliable and easy to get parts.
