Is anyone familiar with the history of the blue falcon frame? I bought a 1997 recently and it looks remarkably different than the 2000. Why did they go to a non-flaired top-tube/seat tube junction? What else changed and what was the reasoning?

I'm only familiar with the originals. Produced in limited runs, with an identifying and numbered plaque on the down tube. Metallic blue was the only color, USA made frame.

The "2000" BF was most likely from the Complete bike with a frame made overseas.
I'm still kicking myself in the @?? for selling American made one I got from "Sweet" Lou...
