Hello everyone, I’ve got the itch to restore a vintage Redline. The question that I have is, I found this one locally and I’ve never heard of a Revolution series Redline. Was this an entry level or top of the line level bike in its day? Thx

That's not a Redline, that's a Beatles' song!

Never heard of it either. But if it's a Redline from 1985, there should be RL engraved somewhere or maybe even a RL hotdog style logo.

Only talked to the guy over the phone. He said it has" Redline " ingraved in the bottom of the crank housing. Chrome frame and forks. Should it have a number stamped into the frame to verify the year and model?

Here is a pic of the bike. Looks like it has a bunch of cheap gear on it but, the frame is my concern.

Where can I find a list of original parts that this bike was born with. Is it an 85 model?

"Carrera" was the name of the complete bike, not the frameset. the frame name for 1983-86 version was "PL-20".
