Garage sale find I picked up yesterday. The person I got it from said it's been hanging up in the garage since 1980. Anyone know the history behind these?

That looks like a replacement fork, but it's hard to tell. In the industry during the 80's the Viscount fork was known as the "death Fork". They were a cast aluminum fork (I think) that was brittle like dry spaghetti. If you plan on riding it go get a cheap chromo fork from you LBS just to be safe. The Viscount frames were cheap and pretty light for the time. It's not a collect piece, but a cool bit of history. Except the fork that is.

Definitely a replacement fork as it is chrome and the OEM fork is satin finished. Looks like replacement brakes as OEM should be centerpulls.

Where is the saddle?

Those Lambert Cranks might get you a fast $75-$100 on ebay. That looks like a Campy Nouvo record Post, That could get you some cash. Looks like some kind of Suntour Brakes. Shifter and deraileurs could also be Suntour. Not sure at all about the Wheels, maybe Normandy hubs?
