How can u tell if you have a set of the unstamped "hutchins" profile arms and not just a set of the diamondback ones with the logos rubbed-off?

I don't think you can...

The profiles and the hutchs are exactly the same. To my knowledge the Dbs are also the same.

all the same. hutchins, DB, mongoose, haro...i may be forgetting some. then there were the "stamped" contract cranks, too - GT, etc.

I've been looking for a set BTW.

My LBS has a NOS 96 team schwinn with team only home grown paint. it has a set of nonstamped profiles on it too.

my friend has a set of them and he wants to sell them. just wanted to do a little research about them for him cuz he wants to list them on ebay with some other stuff. they are 175's and one arm has some grind marks...i gotta get ahold of him...i will ask him what he wants for them...
