The pictures I took seem to enhance the look of the bars, But if you were riding it,it's perfect...

I've noticed it in the pics and I can't stand to see bars all jacked forward like that either. Seriously, they are straight up and down,if you saw it up close it wouldn't look the way it does in the pics. Funky angles I guess

thanks for the compliments..

I'll be honest and say that the pedals, cranks, red tires, and seat need to go. They are too old for that bike. That being said, I'm about to Frankenstein a rider by mixing eras myself.

Good point,,, But remember, this is the same exact frame and drop outs that were made back in the day... and the frame, forks, and bars were mint when I got them. Believe me, If I could find a 1984 that was in this shape,I would have it.

Also, I've wanted a bike like this forever and finally pulled it off... If I wasn't honest about the year, nobody would ever know it was a 90..

Thanks for the comment, gives me something to think about
Steve Bourke
but it's not an 84. it's a 90. so the older than what should be on that bike parts look funny.

try:
ACS BOA's
DK stem
AME tri's
black tires
BOSS or 1/pc cranks.

I would have used different brakes, pedals, and possible a different seat, but I really like it as it is. Nice color scheme! The color scheme really sets off the BOSS USA stickers. smile.gif If I were you, I'd go race it!

I dig this bike its got such a cool early 80's look with the multi color mx1000's and kkt's. I think all it needs is a number plate. It could fit in a retro mid school catagory with my 92elf with the 84ish cranks.. Build what you like, thats what I think.

The guys telling you how they would build your bike are right,so send it to me today. Tomorrow you can start over and try to get it "era correct" thanks.

That is a very rare Boss! That Boss may have been made in 89. When I started welding Boss frames with
Bill Dumas the first 15 or so frames We cut and forms to fit the round tub brake mounts like that.
We used prefabricted flat plate bake mounts after that. There is alot of work and pride into making your
bike.
It looks great Steve Wilcox

Cool whip.
Hope you take it for a spin, and enjoy "Full Hog Status"....in full parade-mode.
