Cool...But it's not worth 1200

Can you ask him how he has his stem set up? I am not sure if his frame is a 1" headtube or a 1 1/8"...It looks like he might be using a 1" fork on a 1 1/8" frame...
That's definetly a 1" head tube. That was the standard uni-blade set up back then. I don't believe the KEX was ever offered with a 1 1/8" set up, but I am wrong a lot of the times. I remember the chromoly Pro Lines came out after, then there was Kastan's aluminum frames soon after. Around that time they were fabricating DK's and Mosh's.
Those Redline tapered forks were pretty beefy, which from what I understand, after the sale of RedLine to SBS, Linn Kastan had a decent amount of half finished RedLine tapered forks since I think in the sale, SBS only received completed inventory. That's why some Uni-blades are left or right side. Something about Mr. Kastan having a fondness of flying, particularly Lear Jets, which have a front landing gear somewhat similar looking to a "uni-blade", inspired the idea. I dunno, I thought I'd never jump with that and I was pretty smooth BITD.
If I had a Uni-blade, I'd treasure it. I doubt I would ride with it though. I'd love to have a KEX 24 and put some regular forks on it (S&M, Free Agent, Boss, ELF, LG's). I'd want it teal too, hmm, teal w/ black LG's ... I miss my old Kastan bars. I had some of the first run pro-sized, unstamped and more of a "Powerlite" curve than the downward curve that came to be. I liked the down curve ones (cruiser) too and wish I had both back!
I am in no way, shape or form willing to fork over that kind of cash, but I hope if anyone does they take care of it. If anyone knows of a decent condition KEX 24 frame for sale, let me know. I will hug it and hold it and love it and squeeze it and call him George.
