What I think would be a true Retro callab is for SE to make a tribute bike with some existing major BMX shops from back in the day that were SE dealers or maybe a Retro SE Quad/BMX Action bike? -Along those lines.

My point exactly.

Closer! But maybe SE could do a collab bike with one of these classic BMX part companies like Bullseye. That would be nice! Bullseye components with SE Frame/Forks etc. A BMX classic inspired bike. I'd snatch that up in a second. Wish Araya was still around!
deadbeatpope
I never heard of any of these companies until SE did collaborations with them. Do they really sell alot of these collab bikes? My lack of interest is unrivaled and have yet to hear anyone else express interest either.

SE/BMX Action sounds awesome. Wait a sec, I'm pretty sure RL didn't ride an SE back then, but what about Buff?
JiveHandle
Douchewaffle.

THANKS, SONIKK.....good2.gif.....that is now stored in my Memory Bank of Insults.
deadbeatpope
Douchewaffle is for sure the vocabulary building word of the day.

Oh and look what the cat dragged in...
bbohlmann
Both RL and Buff road PKs for a period of time. Buff for quite a long time.

Exactly my intent - would be rad to have SE Racing / RL and Mike Buff signature series retro tribute Rippers - Put Tuffs on them as an option wink.gif - Want to see some extreme demand on the limited models - this would do it. They could also have input into some of the other Retro's as well.

I have to say the DC marketing is what got me back into the BMX scene 6months ago as I saw the PK's on Fantasy Factory and that got me interested again so their marketing strategy does work with us old school guys but we need some retros like I mentioned above as well.

OK... now I'm really ready for some updates with good pics, and specs.
I've gotta see more than just the few pics that have been leaked/posted for the DC X SE 26" 2010 Quadangle. I'm going to roll it stock for about a week when I get it, but I am already selecting my
parts and colors for my custom build.

I also want to know if the tubing was changed from the last three years of Quad frames, and if the top stays are now welded to the seat tube to reduce the flex in the upper and lower stays.

I'm totally happy with the Tennis Ball yellow... I was at a HUGE music festival in Santa Barbara over the weekend.... I cannot even tell you how much that color was being sported all over the croud and all the VIP bracelets were in TBY/Black... the night before I was Backstage at Porcupine Tree in LA at Club Nokia and all the VIP/Aftershow passes were the exact same color... TBY/BLACK and of course DC also have this color combo coming out on some of their new shoes... SO.... I'm totally down with the color, and I was at first sight, but... I would also really like to know what color(s) are going to be available after the DC version hits, because the price tag is going to be up there for sure.

Right now I'm thinking of going with Scooby Doo Mystery Machine Colors ... With Blues, Orange, and Purple against the TBY F/F color... could be all colors, but I may lean towards just Purple, or Blue tho more... but i have to have pics to do my color mock-ups in Photoshop.

Yeah! InterBike has been over for days. Where are the pics of the 26" Quad and the rest of the lineup that hasn't been posted yet?

Thanks, Deadbeat. Man, that 26" Quad just gets uglier every time I see it. After waiting this long for SE to make one, they had to go and dip the whole thing in the puke paint. Gak.

The 24" version is a beauty, though.

Is the 26" Quad that we've seen pictures of (bright yellow with DC badges) the only 26" Quad that SE is going to sell? Usually with the DC models SE also offers a "regular" version.

I'd be awesome if they sold it as a frameset in team colors (light blue & brown).

Hopefully they will let DC pay for the setup and then make an SE only version next year. Personal opinion...I'll never think blue and brown go together.
