QuicksilverBMX
Well after years of searching I finally got hold a Quicksilver Helium Thanks to Pete Porker!
This build has taken quite a while and a would like to point out a couple of things:

I am waiting on some blue Suntour pedal cages, black will do for now
I went with Ame Tris but ultimatley would like oakley .5's ( i have red and yellow but no blue hint hint)
I used a black seat and seat clamp as they are genuine Quicksilver items and hard to find in any colour but normally would have gone with blue items
The downtube sticker got scratched slightly DOH!

I would like to thank waza for his help with this build as well as Pete for the stickers and finding the frame for me! This build will have a couple of changes before I am done but this is it basically!
Heres a parts list:

Quicksilver Team Helium Frame re-chromed
Tange TRX forks re-chromed
Skyway race bars re-chromed
Nitto MX-2
Profile Gen 3 cranks re-chromed

Please explain the pneumatic valve on the down tube. Is it really made to accept helium inside the frame tubes?
kcmobmx
I remember reading about those frames in the BMX Plus mags in the mid-80s (I was like 8). I don't recall if they ever made it to the states... very cool to see one of these rare frames built!

Sure did? The idea was to give the frame more strength..total gimmick, but a dam cool gimmick that got them a bunch of sales!

Awesome, awesome build Reece....the nicest Quicksilver build, I've ever seen and good work going for the OG Profile cranks...to be honest it would have been a let down (no pun intended)if you have used the retro's....
velocidad
nice one Reece!
Kurt.
