Roseville, California - 4th o' July, 2009:
While many California kids were comptemplating how long of a fuse they'd need for their homemade M-80's, the U.S. BMX scene converged in Northern California for the next rounds of the ABA National circuit. And for the fourth year in a row, Oak Creek BMX track played host to what's become an annual Vintage BMX Show & Swap - dubbed by some as "The Rockford of the West."

This year, collectors from as far north as Red Bluff - as west as San Fran - as east as Reno, and as close as Citrus Heights came out in force with some pristine pieces of BMX history. With past So.Cal'ers staying at home for the 4th, this years' show brought in close to 70 bikes. While the qty might have been smaller than years' past, the quality and variety of the bikes was amazing.

Collectors and spectators were able to take a step back in time and re-live the 1970's and 80's BMX era, and with a ballot in hand were asked to vote for their favorite bikes in each of 9 categories. Later that evening, Redline FLIGHT crank trophies were awarded to the following winners:
