STANDARD RIDERS
Inercity, the London based design studio and authors of Art & Sole, are working on a BMX book that will showcase all types of BMX bikes.
“Rad Rides: The Best of BMX (working title) looks to explore the world of BMX through photographs of bikes and Q&As with their owners. Some of the bikes are knackered, well worn by owners that have been riding for years. Others are beautiful, sculptural works of art, built but never ridden as a keepsake. Why are these bikes so sacred to their owners? What do these BMX riders do for a living? Where do they ride their bikes? What is it about the BMX that appeals to them? Is their bike a classic production bike or is it a custom build?”
They have an open call for entries going on until October 2009, so if you have a bike you’d like to submit, click here to download the call for entries PDF. To get an idea of what the book will be like, check out a few images from Art & Sole after the jump.

Been working around the house allday, sitting down with a bowl of homemade chicken and noodles. Cool green log jumper. I wonder how long the red arguyle would last in BMX. Actually I'm rather bored, got my backup dialed in and everything cleaned and polished, just waiting on the UPS dude now.

The front half of Lodown is built and is looking hot. Had to do some running after work kinda late when I got home so I just stared at what I had done for a few minutes. Today was a sad day for me, my wife called and told me my Kane had been hit. I had to come home and lay him to rest. I just didn't have it in me to work on my bike.
Here are a couple shots of Kane enjoying the sunshine last fall
Kane was a 85lb Sharpa/Husky mix that we had got from the pound 8 yrs ago.
RIP my friend
I will have pics to show by the weekend. Hopefully the sun will decide to come out on Saturday.
The blue 26 inch is cool except the tires just a bit much for me. The Trail Boss is very kool and the chrome is slick.

Looking good! and we have to get you your custom bars to match with the matching color. Send your sample bars to rick so they can get the correct bend in them, and we will knock them out. If you need other stuff powdered the same matching flip flop let me know!!!!
Love it!!!
Dark does it no justice. CORRECT.
Take care buddy,

I was just on the phone with my powder guy. He told me if you guys wanted custom powder done, instead of doing 1 by 1. To do 6+ would be alot cheaper.
I got a feeling once indys bike hits the Track, everyone is going to want FLIP FLOP!!
flip flop also comes in a red base
and a purple base flip flop also..
So now is the Time to referb those old frames. Dont have to be Just a standard!!!

Well the sun finally came out today so I loaded the bikes in the truck and went some place to take a few shots. I found this old brick wall and the sun was in my favor. I'm a bit disappointed, as I unloaded the bikes and the paint was flipping all over the place. I took some shots but my camera sucks eggs and didn't pick up the colors. Oh well I'm posting anyways.

Nick check out the headtube I'm still debating on the rest.
Heres a couple of my backup with the new stickers in place.

I got a few more coming.

Don't really know if this is the right place, but this get the most visits so I'll post here.
On my Standard 125r, I got 990's instead of v-brake and the arms on my fly brakes stick out too far and rub my sprocket. I want to run a 44t but the brakes stick out past the chainstays.
Has any one else had this problem? Did you use a different brake, like Evo2's or something else?
thanks.

MadDog,
Fly brakes are a little wider in the area you talk about. I believe almost every other brake clears. Trusty 990's seem to rock real well. I know many others do work too. Is there any adjustment room at all to bring them in a bit?

So I am wanting a custom STANDARD. here is my idea..waiting for some $ to come in.
STA 20.75 '' top tube, want something to street ride.
Custom head tube gussets like the custom 26''we did 80's style, but i am looking for a place to water jet out the SBC/ cobra decal (old school) in the gusset in detail.
I want to have it chrome, with a black pearl powder over it.
Chrome standard decals on both sides of the down tubes in block letters
In the back where the 63army and ride to live decals go, one side will say 400 horsepower and the other side say maximum performance.
chrome standard cobra decal on head tube. and one on each side of same color as frame fork..
and for the back of the top tube real small towards the seat post on both sides have it say "black sunshine"
(gripping the wheel his knuckles went white with desire
The wheels of his mustang exploding on the highway like a slug from a .45
True death: 400 horsepower of maximum performance piercing the night
This is black sunshine.)
ROB ZOMBIE.SONG..
sounds Kinda dope dont it?
