I want you to know I had the pleasure of riding with you in 1985 at the Timonium Fairgrounds (Cow Palace in Timonium, MD) the night before the NFA Fall Nationals and you were a blast to hang out with. You and I rode the kickturn ramp and traded some of our "signature moves" back then. I told you I wanted to ride BMX or be involved in BMX forever and you laughed and said you did too. Well, you obviously followed through on that promise, and I didn't. There are many days when I wish I did.

They next day at the contest you autographed my competition certificate and it's one of my most prized possessions I own.

Thanks for all you've done for BMX and all you continue to do today. I speak for everyone in BMX, not just here on this site, but everywhere. You've made a difference. In a time when childhood obesity continues to escalate at a scary pace, kids need to be outside and on their bikes like they did for years before the video game, interwebs, and 200+ cable television age.

You've made your mark in more ways than you'll probably never really know or understand. Kids that stay active grow up to have kids that stay active and that's so important today.

Keep up the incredible standards (pun intended) of work ethic and quality of product.

my babys bike is getting closer. Not pictured are the sinz 3 piece black cranks, chain ring and the wheels. I bought a used set from a gent here, powerlites, then a new GOOD friend gave rick a newer set at the grands to give me. 3doors you rock!!! havent seen them yet! but heard there nice!!!! I went with sinz because everything looks nice, its cheaper, and it will all match. 2 BAD the sinz on the forks is cleared over, and wraps around. Im half tempted to have them repowdered black for standard decals, but it looks racy as is!

all I can say is I've never dealt with a BMX company that had the customer service that Standard does. I needed a 125R sticker set for a frame we had powder coated, PM'd Nick and he responded inside of five minutes telling me to email Jess, she responded to my email immediately and my sticker set is on the way.

I look forward to doing a lot more business with these guys in the future. Customer service is second to none.


Just in comparison, I've emailed Clayborn 5 times in the last month looking for a sticker set for a frame I have and still haven't received a response.

Honestly, one small transaction with these guys seriously has me considering a new frame in the next week or so. I'm thinking of hanging up the Clayborn in favor of a 125R with custom dimensions.

All I want is a 125R with standard head/seat tube angles and a 22" top tube, 14.5-15.5 rearend. That shouldn't be too hard. I will definitely get in touch when the time comes.

To answer a PM about my lil girls bike. It was built many years ago @ WATERFORD, and was a test/ blem frame. thats why the welds are not top notch or 100%. The price was right and it was the right color for me and we added this years decals to make it look new, it was a new frame BTW, and a girls first bike. So to all you STANDARD owners. What do you think about your welds on your bikes that are all hand done, No machine involved??

The grey bullseye pedals are friggin amazing, and the custom color hubs match the frame stickers.

Sweet looking welds there. Hey, have you all ever tried SMW (Super Missile Weld) rod? Costs more but is very easy to weld and flows freely with less gas and heat, minimizing the outflow of the heat range. Also, very tough stuff. Even hard to grind off. I've welded many chromoly upper control arms for a Nascar team that I worked for in the past with the SMW.
