After seeing that chrome 125R I think I am going to do that. Or black f/f and and bright purple decals with purple pedals, grips, hubs. And a white seat.

Just wanted to share my first tattoo with my Standard brothers.
2 hours in, 3 or 4 more to go for shading.
Discuss!

Sorry for the thread jack. Maybe a Standard tat is in order?

Here's to Rick and all who bring it at Standard.
My request was simple... well kind of. "Rick", "take my CW from back in the hay days" (you can imagine... a little bike shop sponsored kid from Iowa keeping up with all the big boys... insert showing up in the back of the S10 truck while all the rest arrived in rentals and team vans) "and mold a new frame, combining the new with the old."
Result... My super modified, Standard Custom Cruiser! Stu Thompson, Timmy Judge and Harry Leary... eat your heart out!
Now all I need to do is lose the 25 pounds of beer and chicken wings I achieved over the last 20 years and keep up with the younger crowd!
Thanks Rick!
See you at the track!

Sold another 10 tickets, going slow but people are coming around.
Since friends and family are buying what i am going to do is take pictures. I am going to pick a randon person I do not know and have them shake the box and draw. I will have my wife take pictures and even when they unfold the name. This way it seems fair, and people see its not rigged! Even tho i only sold a few to a family member if he does win i dont want it too seem rigged..
Sound fair?
Havent been around much. Wife is in the hospital with heart problems at 26 yrs old. She has been there all weekend and has surgery monday. So I will be bouncing on and off here checking to see what cool new stuff you post and so on...
You guys take care, and post up pictures and builds. I know all of you are out there working on something....

I'm so sorry to hear about your wife's heart troubles Nick. Were they brought on by the baby or from something further back? Either way, tell her we're all thinking of her and hope she gets well soon.

Nick not worried about the drawing (just pick my ticket

We built this thing based loosely on "roughly melting" the geometries of an '83 ish CW cruiser with those of our current bike to give Bob Nash something he could be comfortable with. He was a top rider in the old days always in the mix for the win anywhere he raced. It was a fun project that I actually felt personally connected to from Bob and I being from the same era as well as same area!
Thank you Bob!

hope your wife is ok Nick. If you want to, you can give up the BMX for a while since your wife and daughter need you more. BMX will be here, and so will your friends. On the same note, BMX is also a good distraction to get away from some of that stuff as well. If you want to talk or whatever, give me call. My phone is pretty much always on.

No joke man. Being home means you can finally get some rest. Nothing like being forced to lay in a bed, given pills to help you sleep, only to be woken up 45 minutes later for vitals or a blood draw.
Now she can rest and recover without those pesky nurses.
