Brandon002
52 bucks sounds fair for a custom jersey with your name on the back. I'm in.

Let us know when and where to send payment Rob.

I just got the "Green Light" from the Commander and Chief..... So, here it is.... I am thinking as long as I send the graphics with the change in background colors we can do different one.... I just did Green as an example...

Totally by vote of those who were ordering in the first place.....

Kinda like that one!! but all my stuff is grey/black. do they all have to be the same color?
JBRP
You didn't read the whole message did you.......If I provide the artwork with a different background color, they will do them for us........

This is what that would look like....

Same here. I like the original a lot.

Don't get me wrong. I dig first person shooter games, and you know I'm way pro military, but I'd worry about scaring the youngsters with Jesse Ventura and that 50 cal (or thereabouts) on my chest.

"I ain't got time to bleed." (one of my all-time favorite film quotes...anyone know where it's from?)

b.

JBRP
Answer - Predator.....

Brad, that's why I put it out there ..... for feedback.... I am on the fence...still waiting to hear back if they will do both...
nvmyslowride
Sorry at work, read and skim and type fast. I dig the grey alot! I like them both!
indylodown
I prefered the original, riden with brad on this one.
Brandon002
I'll take the black/grey with the yellow on the sleeves, although is there anything that can be put in place of the guy with the gun? Maybe a big standard logo or something?

1 - large "Erdmann" on the back
1 - Medium "Erdmann" on the back

or the red round standard logo, and around it say " SACRED BROTHERHOOD OF THE COBRA"

red would look hot on the black and grey colors..

or the STANDARD phoenix LOGO
JBRP
Mr. UPS man just brought me a brand new roll of special clear plate material.....Oh, yeah....
bradshimmin
Sweet! And the ABA district points are now final. I'll send you a PM with the gory details Rob. There will be much SBC joy to be had.

BTW, spot on in guessing the movie Predator. Makes me think, maybe I should put

The
Shimminator

on the back of my SBC/JP jersey. An homage, if you will, that would work with either rendition.

Later,
b.
JBRP
Not a Standard plate...but the first production plate with the new material....you can tell that I am putting white behind the main graphics to make them POP!!!

sack
The orange 125R went to it's new home today, he will be racing 13 rookie this year with it.

And, where's the pinup girls on the jerseys?
Brandon002
I just got back from Steel Wheels and I'm freaking exhausted. Who would have thought that three months off the bike would completely send me to the black hole known as "out of shape".

Bike road great though, after I got used to it. I had the same problem as Brad with the front end feeling very twitchy. Found out that if I kept my weight back just a bit more it seemed to feel more normal. Overall I was totally impressed with the feel of the bike. Dropping down to 175mm cranks was a huge improvement and the feel of a steel frame is something I've missed. It was very smooth, once my confidence built up a bit it was very easy to manual compared to my Clayborn. I'm all smiles after being able to ride again with very minimal pain.

I'm definitely a Standard customer for life. My bike was getting gawked at every time I was waiting in staging and that felt good.
joelwitte
welcome aboard sir!!
Brandon002
Yeah, I was overly impressed with the frame. When I started racing again on my Clayborn I thought I'd found the perfect frame for me, I was wrong. I forgot to mention how light the front end feels, I am running the rear wheel about a 1/4" from being slammed and it feels perfect. Everything just felt right (except my first three or four gate starts, one of which I almost fell over in the gate) and flat pedals felt golden after I got used to them. I kept rolling my back foot over trying to pull up when snapping. I had to retrain myself to remember that I can't do that without clips. Once I got a few run arounds in everything started to click back. I think a few more practice sessions and some serious dieting and working out and I'll be back to my old self in no time.

I still couldn't muster up the balls to jump anything though. I'm sure that will come in time.

don't keep your weight to far back on that 3rd straight with our trademark rearends, granted it makes it easy to pull the 1-3 or 1-4 in that rhythm but with how they're bowled out very easy to loop out on the standard... finger on the brake just in case

I didn't come close to looping once, but I always ride with a finger on the brake lever, especially on that track. I had one point where a kid next to me decided to sky the doubles going into the second turn, if I didn't tap my brake he would have landed directly on top of my shoulder.

Also, they ran the random cadence for about 20 minutes and after 3-4 tries I finally got that down. I saw one guy smack the gate and go right over the bars though. I mean he snapped on "watch the" and BAM...

bwahahaha
i'm sure it sucks to flip the gate (i've yet to do it) but man if you want to see something funny that does it for me (at least after they get up and alright)
i could watch a whole blooper reel for an hour and not stop laughing the whole way through

It's happened to me before and I stood up laughing at myself, broken collar bone and all. So I've earned my right to laugh when someone flips the gate.
Stoneking522
I'm in for 1 of each (green and the grey/black)in the jersey. Stoneking on the back, XL on the size

Rob, plate and stickers arrived today. This plate is freaking sick and those stickers look amazing. Once I get around to cleaning the bike today (it's filthy) I'm gonna install them and I'll post up some pics.

Thanks again man, can't stress how amazing the work you do turns out. I can't wait to see a proof on my nephew's plate.

sorry for the crappy pic, camera phone kinda stinks. I'll snap better pics once the stickers are on.

Looks sweet. I was going to change up my stickers and other stuff, but right now not in the budget and i still have a few other odds and ends to buy.

Picked up some new Standard bars and one of the new Animal Jump Off remix stems. Really digging the 7.75" bars - really beefy - swapped the big STANDARD sticker across the bar with one I had from a frame set. Bike is well balanced and a lot of fun to throw around. Had some decent weather in Seattle, so got out for a ride with my boys, and planning one tomorrow as well.

You gonna get an ABA membership too? You're gonna need one if you plan on coming up to Rockford at all.

Brandon, man where are the pics....what, did you think I'd loose interest....I want to see that ride pimp'd out...
indylodown
glad to hear it Nick - getting ready to start working on some ideas for my cruiser plate since I finally got my license - now I got to go back and look at the jerseys again and do something on those - Rob I'll be getting with you on plates and jersey soon.

joelwitte
i wonder if he is still cleaning it from friday night practice?

those weren't scratch n sniff stickers you gave him, were they rob?
maybe that's keeping him quite busy as well
Brandon002
The bike is clean, I just haven't had a chance to put the stickers on yet. I'm actually gonna hold off until the outdoor season starts. Too much bar banging takes place at the indoor and I know I'm gonna be pissed the minute one of those stickers gets scratched off. I may change my mind, but for now I'm gonna hold off for a bit.
joelwitte
at least post a pic of the stickers so we can all see them, or did you post them and i missed it?

That animal stem looks sick. My Thomson has been slipping and I am in the market for a new one.
