Dang I think that is the sweetest plate I've ever seen. It at least hits in the top 5. The Standard plates all look cool.
Man, I almost feel guilty not having a Standard whip. I live in SBC Country and don't have a Standard. My Bad! But it's never too late.

ok 125R guys, anyone running a 26.8mm seatpost in their frame? I just received the KAlloy one I ordered and I don't like it. I love my MCS post, but it's only available in 26.8 (which is what I have already). I know it's only .2mm so there probably won't be an issue, just wanted to ask.

To the Standard Army...and you know who you are.... I will be doing a test plate sale with Chad Powers this weekend at the Blue Ridge National.... Rick was gracious enough to give me permission to make (4) special plate for this test...so I am taking advantage of this opportunity and making these plates really special....so you Standard crack addicts who aren't going, probably will want to change your minds.... cause these won't be available for order.... So, you Bi-sanctional type guys/gals can run you ABA on one side and NBL on the other....

I guess the search continues for a decent 27.0 seat post. The KAlloy one I bought online won't allow the seat to recline back enough. it's going to make it parallel to the ground that that's not happening.

you see... standard needs to just make a good 27.o post for us who are picky cause our selection is so limited
i don't think any post is worth over $2o, especially if your gonna slam it, or cut it way down
i run the poverty post myself, but in 25.4, so i had to run the 25.4 - 27.o shim to tie it all together
against my liking, but i had no choice
Brandon002
Jan 7 2010, 05:15 PM
I like the MCS post, I just feel like crapping shelling out 30 bucks for another one that 2/10ths of a MM thicker. I could almost get it powder coated to offset the difference.
I guess I'm gonna use a shim for now. Or I'm gonna work on grinding out the bracket on the k-alloy so that it will allow the seat to recline more.
better yet, maybe I'll just swipe my brother's Thomson post.

Time to break out my micrometer and a coke can.

I think I'm just gonna drill/grind at the bracket on this k-alloy I bought until it lets the seat angle back enough. It should work, I've done it with other seatposts.

Best thing about it was that it only cost me 15 bucks.

It's a burrito seat. It's got that nice vent for your backside after you eat bad mexican food. You can ride on that thing for days and won't have a skidmark in sight.

You can only shim 25.4 post and 27.2 post, since these are the most common post. The product called Problem Solvers offers the shims. Your LBS can get them from Wholesale company's like QBP or the Hawley Company.

i used a shim, a fly bikes seat clamp and a poverty pivotal post. the lip on the seat clamp covers the shim. can't even see it.
i also have a shimano 27.0 post, but prefer the setup with the shim.
another option. 27.0mm pivotal post:
