sack - are those chrome/polished envy rims? I didn't know you could get them in chrome/polished. What I really like is the minimum use of stickers. I say that as I'm getting ready to put stickers on mine.
one of my favorite Standards so far. Next to mine that is

They're chrome envy hoops, I de-stickered them. Bullseye hubs with white ind. freewheel, stainless spokes and black nipples.
I was going for the traditional hot rod look.

Seat decals are hot!!! Sorry scott

hahahahah.... the plate is a little 2 busy, but looks good, with some mild tweeking i think it could be a cool plate... maybe lighten the back ground a few times, and make the standard and the name and numbers darker. the background would look great lightenup almost like a ghost effect, and it will make the name and numbers pop!! Just my idea..
Im back, just been sick a few days. "ugh" damn flu!!

Did Randall send you some art to go with his brace and helmet? That is what the back ground appears to be. It is a good start if it is to go with his other gear. Just some tweaking needed.

still waiting on the decals she called and has been sick the last couple days so shes been a little behind. Front end is put together, back wheel is laced but not trued, and the cranks are going as soon as i get done typin this. I tried to get some pics last night but the lighting is way bad in my bike room. I'll see what I can do when I get done with the cranks.

if i can build like 24 bikes in a few months (mainly waiting on parts) , you should be able to get that one done in a hour!!! hahahaha

Ok Nick here ya go. just over an hour. This includes taken pics and getting them loaded and posted. Just remember my camera isn't the best and the lighting in a log cabin isn't the greatest. I'm still waiting on a brake lever and the wheels are for rolling purposes only, but you get the idea.
ok i having some thoughts and need some input
I'm thinking maybe polished brakes including the lever, chain tensioners and seatpost clamp, instead of all black. The decals are going to be metallic silver. Let me hear your thoughts.

Looks killer scott. going to be trick, im diggin it alot. polished will make it all pop!!!!
Dont take this the wrong way. im not trying to up sell ya, but now you need to think of some thruster or Standard type normal forks. That would make the bike look the full part.. Maybe we can work on that project next year.. I love it, id go polished, and would look good with the stickers.

Hey Scott. That's a beauty. I love how that frame came out. It reminds me of my brother-in-law's Forrest Green 69 GTO. I spent years drooling over that green beast. Like the GTO, you're going to want to set that deep green off with some chrome for sure.
BTW, did SBC build those turn down bars for you as well? Those are freakin sweet. Makes me wonder if SBC could do something like the early 80s Powerlight bars that had the forward bend under the grip.
Oh and Nicks, right, you should think about adding some matching tubular forks on that baby.

chrome forks, chrome hoops.
you coming down for practice on Saturday?
indylodown
Dec 17 2009, 09:25 AM
Brad that color is actually called Tropic Black but you do see green. Yes Rick and crew did the bending on the custom Power Bars, and I'm sure they could bend'em anyway you wanted.
Sack dont make think to much cause I'll end up going polished hoops. I could polish my ProClass hoops and throw them on there.
Unfortunately I have a Christmas gathering I have to go to in Indy but I'm thinking about making the trip over to spectate during the Classic.

Dec 17 2009, 09:30 AM
I'll spectate the president's cup, but I have to work during the classic. Gonna go thrash the new bike on Saturday though.
Polished hoops would be the catsass on that rig.
I went to the hardware store and got all the bolts for mine in stainless, really made a difference. You might want to toss that around too.

Scott. If you need stuff polished like levers, V brakes, exc.. let mew know. I have a huge buffing wheel and lots of compounds. I use to polish car parts in my garage alot for people and cant get crap to really shine!!

Yeah, I wish...after frame, fork and 2 bars you guys just finished for me, I'm now on a pretty short leash, hardware-wise.

Still, I'm hoping mid year next year I can have SBC build a new cruiser frame to replace my 1999 125r. Something good to look forward too, for sure.

125 EX This is a frame to fill the gap between the 100 Expert XL and the 125R 20" top tube. This uses a smaller and lighter top and down tube to save the weight but maintain strength for the rider that needs this size frame. We will be enhancing the rear in the near future as well.

Another shot of the 125 EX

125 Gun Metal Gray with 990 mounts.
