Hello,

I've got a super nice early LJ sidehack that I've had for many years but never built up because it was missing the clamps.
Just decided that I want to mount it up to an old Mongoose so my nephew can ride it when he comes to
visit. I remember how much fun we had on my friend's R&R hack back in the day and I think
my nephew would get a huge kick out of it.

I could probably have these done at a local machine shop but would rather work with
somebody here that understands what they are for and how they work.
I've got some better pictures and can provide excellent dimensions.
I would pay cash or do some trading.

Here is a link to some hack pictures including Ben Joy's awesome old hack.

Thanks!

If you want to build it up without the original frame clamps, go to Home Depot and buy some metal U clamps. They worked for me and they look good as well. I wouldn't do any jumping with them, but if you're going to cruise around the block they will work just fine.

Thanks, that's a good idea but I'm looking to have some made like the ones in the pictures.
They are made out of aluminum and would be machined to fit around the frame
tubes and bolt to the flat plates of the hack. I've got some other pictures of Ben Joy's hack
and some others for reference.

Heck, I've seen clamps made of steel and aluminum for these hacks. Does anybody
know if they made 2 types? My hack is supposed to be an early model.

Thanks!
